The Alloy 625 sheet/plate is a flat-rolled nickel alloy certified against ASTM B443 / ASME SB-443, the specification covering plate, sheet and strip in the nickel-chromium-molybdenum-columbium family. Nickel forms the base at 58.0% minimum. Chromium at 20.0–23.0% and molybdenum at 8.0–10.0% follow, with 3.15-4.15% niobium plus tantalum completing the alloying scheme. Strength depends on the grade and form. In the annealed condition (Grade 1), cold-rolled sheet and strip meet 827 MPa minimum tensile and 414 MPa minimum yield, while plate meets 758 MPa tensile and 379 MPa yield. Solution-annealed material (Grade 2) meets 690 MPa tensile and 276 MPa yield. All conditions hold a 30% minimum elongation. It is also specified as UNS N06625, W.Nr. 2.4856 or NiCr22Mo9Nb on drawings. Both sheet and plate forms are held in Grade 1 (annealed) and Grade 2 (solution-annealed) conditions, cut to order in-house. Most of the demand we see for this grade lands in three areas: pressure vessel fabrication, aerospace components and welded construction.

UNS N06625, W.Nr. 2.4856 and NiCr22Mo9Nb all designate the same alloy as Inconel 625 plate, each under a different standards system. One ASTM B443 certificate covers every callout.
