Surface conditions of our titanium bar stock range from black hot-rolled material through bright, peeled, pickled and centreless-ground bars. Components machined from our titanium bar and rod stock are used in aerospace, chemical, marine, pump and valve applications across pan-India, and exports reach the Gulf, Asia, Europe and the USA. Five titanium bar and rod grades cover the range: three commercially pure, two carrying deliberate additions. The UNS number sits beside each grade below, letting a drawing callout get checked well before an enquiry goes anywhere.
Grade 1 bar carries UNS R50250 and gives the highest ductility of the commercially pure family. Heat exchanger and desalination components lead its use.
As one of the important grades of titanium, Grade 2 (UNS R50400) provides good weldability along with resistance to chloride corrosion, making it highly suitable for manufacturing marine and chemical plant equipment.
UNS R50700 designates Grade 4, the strongest of the unalloyed titanium bar grades. Airframe fittings and surgical instrument stock call for it regularly.
Ti-6Al-4V bar, certified as UNS R56400, is an aluminium-vanadium alloy grade and the default choice for turbine engine and airframe component machining.
A palladium addition sets Grade 7 apart from the rest; the bar, designated UNS R52400, withstands reducing acids in chemical processing equipment.
Section size decides machining time and material yield, so diameter leads the table. Titanium round stock spans the widest band, profiled sections hold narrower limits, and in-house sawing means a 6-metre buy isn't compulsory.
