Amigo Impex facility

The metal weight calculation is done by multiplying volume by density. Volume comes from the shape: a round bar uses 0.7854 x diameter squared x length, while a plate uses length x width x thickness. Density is fixed by the grade, so both inputs must be right.

The calculator returns theoretical weight. Rolling tolerances, ovality and surface finish shift delivered weight by roughly 2 to 5 per cent either way. We invoice against weighed material, so treat the calculated figure as a planning estimate.

Yes. Enter outside diameter, wall thickness and length, and the pipe weight calculator subtracts the bore from the outer volume. Tubes and hollow sections follow the same method. Size ranges are listed on our stainless steel pipes and tubes page.
