Amigo Impex manufactures and supplies Stainless Steel 410 forgings across PAN India and exports them to the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia. Our company has operated from Mumbai since 2013. Production follows ASTM A473 and ASTM A182 Grade F6a, with ASME SA182 applied on pressure-part orders.
Grade 410 is a martensitic stainless steel with 11.50–13.50% chromium; carbon is capped at 0.15%. That chemistry lets a forged section quench-harden to the strength a drawing demands, then temper back for toughness. The chromium level also gives resistance to steam, fresh water and mild chemical media. Minimum tensile strength runs from 485 MPa in Class 1 to 895 MPa in Class 4, a span that covers annealed valve internals as well as fully hardened shafts. International drawings may name the material UNS S41000, EN 1.4006 or JIS SUS410. We forge rings, discs, shafts, blanks and flanges to the dimensions fixed on each order drawing. Finished 410 SS components run in pumps, valves, turbines and wellhead assemblies. Cutting, machining, threading, fabrication, testing and packing stay in-house, so dimensional control and dispatch timing don't leave our supervision. Packing follows export practice, and pricing is issued per kilogram. Every consignment carries a mill test certificate, and our company holds AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certification.
Amigo Impex manufactures Stainless Steel 410 forgings to the parameters below, and each order is confirmed against the governing standard and heat-treatment class before production begins.
Two specifications govern 410 forging supply. ASTM A473 covers general industrial forgings and A182 F6a covers pressure-rated components; the bar spec does not certify the finished forging.
| Standard | Coverage |
|---|---|
| ASTM A473 | Stainless steel forgings for general use, and for low- or high-temperature service |
| ASTM A182 F6a / ASME SA182 F6a | Forged flanges, valve components and pressure parts for high-temperature service |
Martensitic hardenability means the structure of an SS 410 forging transforms on quenching, so final strength is set by heat treatment rather than cold work. The limits below follow ASME SA182 Grade F6a.
| Element | Composition (%) |
|---|---|
| Carbon (C) | 0.15 max |
| Manganese (Mn) | 1.00 max |
| Phosphorus (P) | 0.040 max |
| Sulphur (S) | 0.030 max |
| Silicon (Si) | 1.00 max |
| Nickel (Ni) | 0.50 max |
| Chromium (Cr) | 11.50–13.50 |
Four acceptance classes apply to 410 stainless steel forging under ASME SA182, with minimum tempering temperatures of 725°C, 675°C, 595°C and 540°C for Classes 1 to 4 where material is normalised and tempered.
| Class | Tensile Strength, min | Yield Strength (0.2% offset), min | Elongation in 50 mm, min | Reduction of Area, min | Hardness (HBW) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| F6a Class 1 | 485 MPa (70 ksi) | 275 MPa (40 ksi) | 18% | 35% | 143–207 |
| F6a Class 2 | 585 MPa (85 ksi) | 380 MPa (55 ksi) | 18% | 35% | 167–229 |
| F6a Class 3 | 760 MPa (110 ksi) | 585 MPa (85 ksi) | 15% | 35% | 235–302 |
| F6a Class 4 | 895 MPa (130 ksi) | 760 MPa (110 ksi) | 12% | 35% | 263–321 |
An overseas drawing does not always quote the American designation. The table matches SS 410 forging grade against each national system, allowing a certificate to be read in any market.
| Country / System | Designation |
|---|---|
| USA (UNS) | UNS S41000 |
| Europe (EN) | X12Cr13 / EN 1.4006 |
| Germany (DIN) | DIN X10Cr13 |
| Japan (JIS) | JIS SUS410 |
| UK (BS) | BS 410S21 |
| France (AFNOR) | AFNOR Z12C13 |
| China (GB) | GB 12Cr13 / GB 1Cr13 |
| Russia (GOST) | GOST 12Kh13 |
| India (IS) | IS X12Cr12 |
Amigo Impex forges the Grade 410 shapes below; machining and threading are completed in-house where an order specifies them, and rough-forged supply is available where it does not.
Forgings are dispatched in boxes, crates or bundles; seaworthy export packing is prepared where a consignment moves by sea. Deliveries run PAN India, either to the door or ex-warehouse, and transport can be arranged both ways. Marking follows the order paperwork: heat number, grade and size are stencilled on each package as a stockist-level traceability record.
A Stainless Steel 410 forging price ranges from ₹92-₹355 per kg in India and internationally it ranges from US $1.00-$5.00 per kg. Rates fluctuate with piece weight, section size, F6a class, testing scope and machining allowance.

Dispatched from Mumbai to every major Indian city, and exported to USA, Gulf, Europe, Asia
ASTM A473 and ASTM A182 Grade F6a cover Stainless Steel 410 forgings, and ASME SA182 applies once a component enters boiler or pressure vessel service.
An SS410 forging carries a passive chromium oxide film that resists dry air, fresh water and mild atmospheres. Grade 410 is not suited to sustained chloride or strong acid exposure.
Urgent orders are dispatched from Mumbai within 1 to 2 days when material is held in stock; production items follow the schedule agreed at the order stage.
