Nickel fasteners are bolting components machined from commercially pure nickel bar supplied to ASTM B160 / ASME SB-160, with nickel at a minimum of 99.0%. The high nickel content provides strong resistance to caustic soda, while Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 are also used in applications involving dry chlorine and hydrogen fluoride. Their commercially pure nickel chemistry can also be advantageous where material purity is important. Nickel 200 is suited to general corrosive service, while the lower carbon content of Nickel 201 makes it more suitable for prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. Bolts, screws, studs and nuts are machined from certified nickel bar to ASTM B160 / ASME SB-160, which covers Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201). There is no ASTM fastener specification covering commercially pure nickel, so dimensions, head form and thread form are supplied to the dimensional standard called out on the drawing, whether ASME, ISO, DIN, IS or JIS. Head and thread geometry can be produced according to applicable ASME, DIN, ISO, IS and JIS dimensional standards.
Diameters range from M6 to M24 in metric sizes and from 1/4 in to 1-1/2 in in imperial sizes. The range includes black and bright finishes across ten fastener types, from hex bolts and nuts to anchor bolts and eye bolts. Deliveries cover pan-India from Mumbai, with export consignments supplied to the USA, Gulf, Europe and Asia. Pricing is quoted per kilogram and varies according to grade, dimensions, quantity and prevailing nickel raw-material costs. Major applications include pumps and valves, chemical processing, oil and gas and other industrial services, supported by approximately 60 to 70 tonnes of ready stock in Mumbai.

A nickel fastener order can involve three documentation layers: the fastener specification for the finished component, the bar standard for the machining stock, and the dimensional standards governing head and thread geometry. DIN 931 and DIN 933 have been superseded by ISO 4014 and ISO 4017, and DIN 934 by ISO 4032, though the DIN callouts remain in common commercial use. The two are not always interchangeable: widths across flats differ at M10, M12, M14 and M22, so confirm which callout the drawing uses before manufacture.

Amigo Impex supplies two nickel fastener grades: Nickel 200 and Nickel 201. The principal distinction is their carbon content, which affects their suitability for prolonged service at elevated temperatures.
Nickel 200 fasteners (UNS N02200) contain a minimum of 99.0% nickel, with carbon permitted up to 0.15%. The grade is used in caustic soda plants, chlor-alkali equipment and other applications requiring commercially pure nickel with good corrosion resistance.
Nickel 201 fasteners (UNS N02201) have a maximum carbon content of 0.02%. This lower carbon limit reduces the risk of graphitisation during prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures, making Nickel 201 preferable to Nickel 200 for continuous high-temperature service where the lower carbon grade is specified.
Metric and imperial nickel fasteners can be produced from the applicable certified bar stock, allowing mixed drawing requirements to be consolidated where the grade and specification permit. Sizes outside the standard supply range can be machined to drawing.

Commercially pure nickel can work-harden during machining, so cutting and threading parameters are controlled according to the material condition. The available head and thread configurations can be supplied in both Nickel 200 and Nickel 201, subject to size and specification.

Small nickel fastener lots are packed in sealed bags inside labelled cartons, while bulk consignments can be supplied in wooden cases with suitable protective packaging for export. Grade, size, heat number and specification are identified on every package.
Despatch covers pan-India from the Mumbai facility, with export orders supplied to the USA, Gulf, Europe and Asia. Ready-stock items can generally be dispatched within 1 to 2 days, while made-to-order lots typically require around 30 days, subject to grade, dimensions and quantity.
Before packing, every nickel alloy fastener lot undergoes positive material identification, dimensional inspection and thread gauging at the Mumbai facility. The material test certificate incorporates the applicable mill documentation and inspection results, while third-party inspection can be arranged when required. The two products therefore have different material properties and service characteristics.
ASTM B160 / ASME SB-160 is the governing standard, because it covers Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201) rod and bar, which is the machining stock for these fasteners. ASTM F468 and ASTM F467 are the general nonferrous bolt and nut specifications, but their alloy tables cover only the Monel, Inconel and Hastelloy families and do not include commercially pure nickel, so they cannot be used to certify Nickel 200 or Nickel 201 bolting. Dimensions and thread form are supplied to ASME, ISO, DIN, IS or JIS as required by the drawing.
Nickel 201 is generally preferred over Nickel 200 for prolonged exposure to temperatures above approximately 315 °C because its lower carbon content reduces the risk of graphitisation. Final grade selection should consider the actual operating temperature, service environment and applicable specification.
