The bars and rods have PREN which is the pitting resistance number equivalent to 425. This number indicates the resistant ability of bars and rods to local corrosion. The high number indicates that our bars and rods are highly resistant to local corrosion. In addition to this, these products are having higher strength due to the use of high-end grade. They are also having good weldable properties.

All these properties are the result of the incredible composition of elements in the grade. 6 Moly S31254/SMO 254 Bars and Rods grade consists of nickel and molybdenum, chromium. The standard grade of steel has 20.5 percent of chromium, nickel in 17.5 to 18.5 percent, and molybdenum in 6 to 6.5 percent. It also has nitrogen in some quantity like 0.18 to 0.22 percent. This makes the steel a super steel grade. It thus has a great combination of impact toughness and corrosion-resistant ability. It has almost double the strength than steel of 300 series. It can also withstand the highest possible temperature in the industries under volatile conditions.

It can work in flue gas desulfurization and other chemical conditions. Other applications are desalination equipment, chemical processing, and heat exchangers, hydrometallurgy equipment. We provide round, hexagonal, square, and flat bars for these applications.
