Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy carrying 72.0% minimum nickel with 14.0 to 17.0% chromium. That balance resists chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking and holds a stable oxide film in hot service above 2000 °F. Note that this is the alloy's oxidation limit; the flange joint itself is governed by the ASME B16.5 pressure-temperature ratings for Material Group 3.5, which stop well below that figure. Annealed forgings meet a 550 MPa minimum tensile strength. Drawings marked W.Nr. 2.4816, NiCr15Fe or JIS NCF 600 name the same material as UNS N06600, so the order can be processed against the existing ASTM B564 certification without raising a new material grade. Ten forged constructions are produced. The range starts at weld neck and slip-on patterns and extends through reducing and spectacle blind specials. Sizes run 1/2" to 48" NB. Class 150 to 1500 is available 1/2" to 24" and Class 2500 from 1/2" to 12", both to ASME B16.5. From 26" to 48", ASME B16.47 Series A and B apply, where the highest class is 900.
Furnace builders, chemical processors and power stations account for most repeat orders. Around 60 to 70 tonnes of ready nickel alloy stock are in Mumbai for immediate processing. A material test certificate accompanies every consignment; pricing is confirmed per kilogram once type, size and class are fixed, and each flange traces back from final inspection to its mill heat.

Ni-Cr-Fe alloy 600 flanges contain no molybdenum. Nickel at 72.0% minimum supplies the resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Chromium at 14.0 to 17.0% sustains oxidation resistance at furnace temperatures.
