These wires are preferred for usage in case of elevated temperatures. Its high nickel content and combination with its chromium provides several benefits. These are known to showcase poor resistance when these come in contact with strong oxidizing solutions like hot and concentrated nitric acid. The presence of high chromium content increases its oxidation resistance considerably. This is increased to a level above that of pure nickel. To go with that considerable amount of Nickel provides excellent corrosion resistance under reducing conditions.

These are suitable to be both hot formed and cold formed. This is achieved by well matched processes. The combination of its mechanical strength and chemical balance makes it suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications.

These are used in fatty acid vessels, in furnace components and food and chemical processing. With that nuclear engineering see a lot of use of these wires. These are not suitable for high level of heating applications in the presence of sulfur. This is because of high quantity of Nickel in these.
