Amigo Impex manufactures, stocks and supplies duplex and super duplex bars & rods from Mumbai, India, and has exported these two-phase stainless steels since 2013. Duplex stainless steel bars combine ferritic and austenitic phases, providing a useful balance of strength and corrosion resistance compared with conventional austenitic stainless steels. Three grades anchor the range: Duplex S31803 (EN 1.4462), Super Duplex S32750 (EN 1.4410) and Super Duplex S32760 (EN 1.4501), supplied as DSS and SDSS round bar and rod against ASTM A276, ASTM A479 / ASME SA-479 and the A484 tolerance standard.
Rounds start at 3 mm and reach a 450 mm diameter. Hex, square, flat, and forged bar sit beside them, cut anywhere between 100 mm and 6000 mm; weight per metre is calculated theoretically from density, while material is quoted and invoiced on a per-kilogram basis. Black, bright and ground surface conditions cover applications ranging from rough machining stock to precision-finished shaft components. Cutting, threading and machining are handled in-house; ready material clears our warehouse on a 1-to-2-day cycle for pan-India dispatch, and export cargo moves to USA, Gulf, European and Asian markets. Every order leaves with its EN 10204 3.1 document, and we hold ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and other certifications, and machine shops turn duplex round bars from this stock into shafts, stems and fasteners for chloride duty. Send the grade mix and sizes to our Mumbai sales desk; we'll confirm availability and dispatch the same on the working day.
The following supply envelope covers the duplex and super duplex bar range. The table gathers grades, standards, section ranges, supply conditions, finishes and paperwork, letting an enquiry state its exact bar before quotation.
Five documents govern duplex and super duplex bar supply between them. A pressure-retaining order names A479; general machining stock runs to A276, A484 fixes tolerances, A182 covers the forged grades and EN 10088-3 answers European drawings.
| Specification | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| ASTM A276 / ASME SA-276 | General purpose bar, hot and cold finished |
| ASTM A479 / ASME SA-479 | Bar for boiler and pressure vessel construction |
| ASTM A484 / ASME SA-484 | Dimensions, tolerances and delivery testing for stainless bar |
| ASTM A182 / ASME SA-182 | Grade designations F51 (S31803), F60 (S32205), F53 (S32750) and F55 (S32760) for forged flanges, fittings and parts machined from this stock |
| ASTM A314 | Billets and bars for forging (feedstock for forged duplex bar) |
| EN 10088-3 | European delivery conditions for 1.4462, 1.4410 and 1.4501 bar |
Three grades form the stocked duplex and super duplex stainless steel bars and rod range: 22Cr Duplex S31803 plus the 25Cr pair, Super Duplex S32750 and S32760. Designation, governing standard, and anchor duty appear under each grade.
Duplex S31803 bar (UNS S31803 / EN 1.4462) answers 2205 drawings under ASTM A276, machining into shafting and stem blanks for chloride-washed plant.
Seawater pump internals and valve trim draw on S32750 super duplex rod (UNS S32750 / EN 1.4410), certified to ASTM A479 / ASME SA-479 as generic 2507.
The tungsten-bearing S32760 grade (UNS S32760 / EN 1.4501) spans A276 bar and A182 F55 forgings, specified for desalination and offshore fastener duty.
Diameter gates every bar enquiry first, so stocked ranges are listed shape by shape below. Cutting runs in-house, and part lengths ship on their own.
| Bar Form | Dimension Range | Length Supplied |
|---|---|---|
| Round Bar / Rod | 3 mm to 450 mm diameter | 100 mm to 6000 mm |
| Hex Bar | 2 mm to 100 mm across flats | 100 mm to 6000 mm |
| Square Bar | 4 x 4 mm to 100 x 100 mm | 100 mm to 6000 mm |
| Flat Bar | 2 mm to 100 mm thick, 10 mm to 500 mm wide | 100 mm to 6000 mm |
Chart weights for duplex and super duplex stainless steel bars are theoretical, taken at 7.80 g/cm³ density: multiply diameter squared, in millimetres, by 0.006126 to read kilograms per metre. Chart figures aren't invoice figures; billing follows weighed dispatch.
| Round Bar Diameter | Theoretical Weight per Metre |
|---|---|
| 12 mm | 0.88 kg |
| 16 mm | 1.57 kg |
| 25 mm | 3.83 kg |
| 40 mm | 9.80 kg |
| 60 mm | 22.05 kg |
| 90 mm | 49.62 kg |
| 120 mm | 88.22 kg |
| 200 mm | 245.04 kg |
Cross-section and production route split the 5 duplex and super duplex bars and rod types stocked. Hex and square blanks shorten machine set-up on fastener work; forged bar serves the heaviest sections.

Bundles leave from Mumbai strapped, wrapped and tagged with heat, size and order reference, and bright or machined lengths travel in cases so ground surfaces stay unmarked. Ready duplex/super duplex bars & rods take 1 to 2 days to dispatch; mill rolling adds around 30 days. Consignments cover PAN India, while export lots reach USA, Gulf, European and Asian destinations with full papers.
EN 10204 3.1 certification travels on every duplex/super duplex bar order, reporting ladle analysis and tensile results heat by heat. PMI, hardness and dimensional checks finish before packing, and a third-party witness is booked when the order calls for release inspection. Amigo Impex holds AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.
60–70 tonnes held in Mumbai, with urgent requirements dispatched within one to two days.
AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, with an MTC on every order.
Cutting, machining, threading, fabrication and testing all handled at our own Mumbai facility.
Original mill certificates plus our own test reports, so every batch can be traced back.
Non-standard sizes and specifications made to order.
Dispatched from Mumbai to every major Indian city, and exported to USA, Gulf, Europe, Asia
Chromium level splits the families: duplex bars use 22Cr chemistry; super duplex bars run 25Cr with a pitting resistance equivalent above 40 and last longer in hot, saturated chloride streams.
A 2205 round bar is duplex, not super duplex. 2205 is trade shorthand for the 22Cr family, which carries two UNS numbers: S31803 (original) and S32205 (higher minimum Cr, Mo and N). S32205 material also satisfies S31803, so most bar today is dual-certified S31803/S32205. Super duplex starts at the 25Cr grades, S32750 and S32760.
Two super duplex bar grades are stocked: S32750 (EN 1.4410, the generic 2507) and S32760 (EN 1.4501), both held as round, hex and square bar plus flat, forged and bright stock.
Round sizes begin at 3 mm and end at 450 mm in diameter. Hex stock tops out at 100 mm over flats, square at 100 x 100 mm, and is flat at 100 mm thick; lengths run 100 mm to 6000 mm, cut to order.
Supply certifies to ASTM A276 / ASME SA-276 and ASTM A479 / ASME SA-479, with A484 tolerances and ASTM A182 grades F51, F53 and F55 on forged bar. EN 10204 3.1 papers accompany each lot.
Hex, square and flat cross-sections ship alongside bright and forged duplex steel rod stock, each cut to ordered length in-house.
Machined components cut from duplex steel rod and SDSS bar stock serve these 8 chloride-exposed industries.
