Amigo Impex is a Hastelloy bars & rods manufacturer, stockist and exporter working out of Mumbai, India, since 2013. Bar stock is supplied in Hastelloy C-276, C-22, B-2 and X, with applicable ASTM/ASME specifications confirmed according to grade.
A Hastelloy bar is a nickel alloy product, with molybdenum and chromium resisting corrosion with the help of a nickel base. Molybdenum content is what carries reducing acids such as hydrochloric. C-276 runs about 16% molybdenum, well above the 8 to 10% in Inconel 625, and the extremely low carbon and silicon levels are what allow the alloy to be used as welded. Chromium answers oxidising media and chlorides. Tungsten appears in C-276 and C-22, stiffening resistance to pitting and crevice attack. Shafts and valve stems machined from these alloys can withstand corrosive service that would rapidly degrade conventional materials.
Four grades reach bar form, such as C-276, C-22, B-2 and X. Sections run 8 mm to 89 mm in round, square, hex, flat and rectangular profiles. Cutting, machining, threading and fabrication run in-house.
Roughly 60 to 70 tonnes of Hastelloy bar stock are held in Mumbai, so standard round bars are issued in 1 to 2 days, while made-to-order sections take about 30 days. A mill test certificate to EN 10204 3.1 travels with every consignment, and we hold AS9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.
Grade, section band, finish and paperwork settle most of a bar enquiry before a rate is worked out. The envelope below covers everything we hold or produce in Hastelloy rod, from governing specification through to the certificate issued.
Different ASTM specifications govern the four grades supplied in bar and rod form, so the applicable document should be selected according to the grade and product form.

Four grades cover the bar range: Hastelloy C-276, C-22, B-2 and X. Grade selection depends on the corrosive environment, temperature and required resistance to reducing or oxidising media.
Alloy C-276 bar handles mixed acids, wet chlorine and seawater, and needs no heat treatment after welding.
C-22 contains higher chromium than C-276, giving the Ni-Cr-Mo-W alloy strong resistance in oxidising environments containing chlorides and wet chlorine.
These nickel-base alloy bars offer exceptional high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance, making them perfect for industrial furnace components.
This solid-solution strengthened alloy provides superior resistance to hydrochloric acid and other strongly reducing chemical environments.
Diameter drives machining time and material yield, so Hastelloy round bar leads the size range. ASTM B574 also ties supply condition to diameter, and those two bands sit alongside the section ranges we hold.

All figures in this Hastelloy round bar chart are theoretical, generated using Haynes International's C-276 nominal density of 8.89 g/cm³. Rod and bar up to 89 mm diameters meet ASTM B574, B335 and B572. Grade and material density affect weight. Square the millimetre figure and multiply by 0.006982 for diameters outside the chart.

Six solid configurations make up the Hastelloy bars and rod types held or produced to order at the Mumbai works. All are machining and forging stock rather than welding consumables.
Full-length Hastelloy rods leave from Mumbai in strapped, wrapped bundles, and cut pieces travel in wooden cases or on pallets. Grade, heat number, section and size appear on every tag. Export consignments take seaworthy packing and reach the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia, with pan-India despatch alongside.
Amigo Impex tests Hastelloy bar before packing: chemical analysis, PMI, hardness and dimensional inspection are all run at the works, and third-party inspection agencies are welcome to witness.
