Amigo Impex is a manufacturer and supplier of Inconel bars & rods in Mumbai, India, operating since 2013 and providing Inconel bars for OEMs, machine shops and project supply chains. Six grades are supplied in bar and rod form: Inconel 600, 601, 625, 660A, 718 and X-750, with applicable ASTM, ASME and AMS specifications selected according to grade and product form, and AMS specifications covering aerospace bars. Round sections run from 3 mm to 600 mm in diameter in lengths of 0.5 to 6 metres. We hold hex, square, flat and forged bars alongside and cut, machine and thread each length in-house before dispatch.
Across the grades covered, Inconel bars provide combinations of high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, with the applicable service temperature depending on grade and condition. Black, shiny, and peeling surfaces cover rough machining stock to final shaft quality. Grade sets the rate per kilogram; section size then sets the total, since bar is quoted per metre and billed per kilogram. Exports reach the US, Gulf, Europe, and Asia via India-wide dispatch. We ship every order with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate, and our company is certified under ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and AS 9120B.
We supply Inconel bar & rod with profiled sections beside it. The table condenses the ordering envelope: standards, grades, shapes, sizes, conditions, tolerances and documentation.
Three ASTM nickel-alloy specifications govern the Inconel grades (B166, B446 and B637), each adopted by ASME as SB-166, SB-446 and SB-637. Alloy 660 / A-286, being iron-base, is covered separately by ASTM A453 and ASTM A638. Aerospace orders add AMS coverage on top of the base specification.

Six Inconel bar grades are held in bar and rod form: 600, 601, 625, 660A, 718 and X-750. Each grade below carries its UNS number and governing bar specification, so a drawing callout can be matched before enquiry.
Inconel 600 bar, UNS N06600, is supplied to ASTM B166 / ASME SB-166 and machines into furnace components, heat-treatment fixtures and shafts for chloride-exposed process lines.
Alloy 601 rod carries UNS N06601 under the same ASTM B166 scope. Its aluminium addition strengthens oxidation resistance in furnace muffles, radiant tubes and thermal-processing hardware.
Inconel 625 bars answer ASTM B446 / ASME SB-446 callouts as UNS N06625. Marine hardware, chemical plant internals and turbine shafting draw on this molybdenum-bearing grade.
Alloy 660A is the iron-base A-286 grade, UNS S66286, supplied against AMS 5731, AMS 5732 and ASTM A453 Grade 660 for high-temperature bolting and turbine studs.
Inconel 718 rod, the precipitation-hardening grade UNS N07718, ships to ASTM B637 with AMS 5662 and AMS 5663 for aerospace fasteners, rotor parts and downhole tooling.
Inconel X-750 bars age-harden after machining. Certified as UNS N07750 under ASTM B637, the grade covers springs, bolting and gas-turbine fasteners.
Four rolled/drawn section families, plus forged bar and round bar, span the widest envelope. Every shape is cut to part length in-house, so a full 6-metre bar isn’t the minimum purchase.
| Shape | Size Range | Length |
|---|---|---|
| Round Bar / Rod | 3 mm to 600 mm diameter | 0.5 to 6 m, cut to size |
| Hex Bar | 3 mm to 180 mm across flats | 0.5 to 6 m, cut to size |
| Square Bar | 2 mm to 200 mm | 0.5 to 6 m, cut to size |
| Flat Bar | 0.5 mm to 200 mm thickness | 0.5 to 6 m, cut to size |
Weight per metre for Inconel round bar is theoretical: the section area multiplied by grade density, which spans 7.94 g/cm³ for 660A to 8.47 g/cm³ for Inconel 600. The chart below uses the 8.47 figure.
| Round Bar Diameter | Weight per Metre |
|---|---|
| 10 mm | 0.67 kg |
| 20 mm | 2.66 kg |
| 25 mm | 4.16 kg |
| 40 mm | 10.64 kg |
| 50 mm | 16.63 kg |
| 80 mm | 42.56 kg |
| 100 mm | 66.52 kg |
| 150 mm | 149.67 kg |
4 bar shapes cover the Inconel bar stock range, with rod held beside round bar in the smaller diameters. Shape selection follows the machining route, since hex and square sections cut set-up time on fastener and fitting blanks.
Surface condition decides finish stock and rate on inconel bar. Hot-rolled material carries a black surface with machining allowance, while cold-drawn and ground routes deliver bright, closer-tolerance stock ready for finishing.

Six grades are available in bar and rod form: Inconel 600, 601, 625, 660A, 718 and X-750. All of them are held as round bars, with hex, square, flat and forged sections in the more common grades.
Inconel round bar runs from 3 mm to 600 mm in diameter, hex bar from 3 to 180 mm across flats, square bar from 2 to 200 mm and flat bar from 0.5 to 200 mm in thickness. Standard lengths span 0.5 to 6 metres.
HSN code 7505 covers nickel bars, rods, profiles and wire, and Inconel bars and rods fall under subheading 7505 12. Alloy A-286 (Grade 660), being iron-based, is classified under Chapter 72 rather than 7505. The code appears on export invoices and shipping documents.
ASTM B166 / ASME SB-166 applies to Inconel 600 and 601 bar; ASTM B446 / ASME SB-446 applies to Inconel 625; and ASTM B637 applies to Inconel 718 and X-750. Inconel 660A, an iron-base grade, follows ASTM A453 Grade 660 with AMS 5731 and AMS 5732.
Black, bright, peeled and ground; centreless ground and polished; and smooth or rough-turned finishes are held or produced to order. Supply conditions cover annealed, solution-annealed, cold-drawn, and precipitation-hardened, each recorded on the test certificate.
An EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate accompanies every order, backed by PMI testing and visual and dimensional inspection before packing. Third-party inspection at the works can be arranged when the purchase order calls for it.
Cut-to-size supply is standard: part lengths and custom-cut sections ship without a full-bar commitment, and order quantities start from 1 kg.
