Amigo Impex manufactures, supplies, and stocks Inconel 660A bars and rods in Mumbai, India, with worldwide export capability. Operating since 2013, we carry out cutting, machining, threading, fabrication, testing, and packing in-house.
Inconel 660A (UNS S66286), traded worldwide as A-286, is a precipitation-hardening iron-nickel-chromium superalloy. We supply bar stock to AMS 5731 and AMS 5732 from 5 mm to 127 mm diameter (the 5.00 in. limit of those specifications). Above 127 mm and up to 500 mm, we supply to ASTM A453 / ASTM A638 Grade 660, or as AMS-conforming stock for forging. Age hardening gives the grade a minimum tensile strength of 895 MPa (130 ksi) under SA-453 Grade 660 Class A.
We hold 60 to 70 tonnes of Inconel Bars & Rods alloy stock, and our firm is certified to AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018. This data applies strictly to grade 660A. Send your size list for an immediate stock confirmation. For procurement, visit the official Amigo Impex website.

The table lists room-temperature requirements for Inconel A286 round bars in the fully hardened condition, alongside indicative values for solution treated bar. Figures for the solution treated condition are typical and are not specification minimums. AMS 5731 controls hardness and requires the bar to meet the aged properties after ageing.
| Property | AMS 5731 (Solution Treated, typical) | SA-453 Gr. 660 Cl. A (Solution Treated & Aged) |
|---|---|---|
| Tensile Strength | around 620 MPa (90 ksi) | 895 MPa (130 ksi) min |
| Yield Strength (0.2% offset) | around 250 MPa (36 ksi) | 585 MPa (85 ksi) min |
| Elongation in 4D | around 40% | 15% min |
| Reduction of Area | Not specified | 18% min |
| Brinell Hardness | As specified in AMS 5731 | 248 to 341 HB |
| Condition | Solution treated only | Solution treated and precipitation-hardened |
