As a premier manufacturer and supplier in India, Amigo Impex delivers premium Inconel 718 Bars & Rods backed by audit-ready documentation. Our company holds AS 9120B aerospace distribution certification, ISO 45001:2018 management system credentials, and material supplied with PED 2014/68/EU Annex I 4.3 appraisal where the order calls for it. To ensure total traceability, an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate accompanies every consignment. Type 3.2 certification, countersigned by an independent inspector, is arranged on request. That traceability discipline shapes how we stock and supply Inconel 718 Bars & Rods from Mumbai, where we have operated as a stockist, supplier and exporter since 2013.
Inconel 718 is a precipitation-hardening nickel-chromium superalloy, designated UNS N07718, strengthened by niobium, titanium and aluminium during age hardening. Aged bar meets a minimum tensile strength of 1275 MPa at room temperature, and the alloy remains serviceable from -423°F to 1300°F (-253°C to 704°C), with useful strength falling away above about 1200°F. We hold round bars from 3 mm to 800 mm in diameter in 1 to 6 metre lengths; keep hex, square, flat and rectangular sections beside them, and cut, machine and thread bars in-house.
Our stock conforms to ASTM B637 / ASME SB-637, with AMS 5662, AMS 5663 and AMS 5664 for aerospace bar and API 6A718 for wellhead service. Send a drawing callout to our Mumbai office and we'll confirm stock, supply condition and certification against it.
As Inconel 718 round bar suppliers, we provide these round bars and profile bar to ASTM B637 / ASME SB-637 in UNS N07718. The table below carries the ordering parameters: size, tolerance, finish, supply condition and certification.
ASTM B637 is the governing specification for precipitation-hardening nickel alloy bars, forgings and forging stock, with ASME adopting the requirements as SB-637. The standards around it define certification and service scope for each order.
| Standard | Scope |
|---|---|
| ASTM B637 / ASME SB-637 | Precipitation-hardening nickel alloy bars, forgings and forging stock |
| AMS 5662 | Aerospace bar, solution treated, for ageing after machining |
| AMS 5663 | Aerospace bar, solution treated and precipitation hardened |
| AMS 5664 | Aerospace bar, higher-temperature solution treatment for stress-rupture duty |
| API 6At718 | Bar for oil patch wellhead components |
Niobium leads the strengthening in this grade, supported by titanium and aluminium: all three precipitate as hardening phases during ageing. Every UNS N07718 round bar we despatch is certified against the ASTM B637 limits below.
| Element | Limit (%) |
|---|---|
| Nickel (+ Cobalt) | 50.0 to 55.0 |
| Chromium | 17.0 to 21.0 |
| Iron | Balance |
| Niobium (+ Tantalum) | 4.75 to 5.50 |
| Molybdenum | 2.80 to 3.30 |
| Titanium | 0.65 to 1.15 |
| Aluminium | 0.20 to 0.80 |
| Cobalt | 1.00 max |
| Carbon | 0.08 max |
| Manganese | 0.35 max |
| Silicon | 0.35 max |
| Phosphorus | 0.015 max |
| Sulphur | 0.015 max |
| Boron | 0.006 max |
| Copper | 0.30 max |
Inconel 718 bar is certified against ASTM B637 as standard, with two further property sets available: aerospace to AMS 5662/5663 and oil patch to API 6A718. Density is 8.19 g/cm³, and the service temperature range runs from -423 °F to 1300°F.
Aerospace bar certified to AMS 5662 or AMS 5663 is tested in the solution-treated and aged condition against these minimums.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Tensile Strength (min) | 1275 MPa (185 ksi) |
| Yield Strength 0.2% (min) | 1034 MPa (150 ksi) |
| Elongation (min) | 12% |
| Reduction of Area (min) | 15% |
| Hardness (min) | 331 HBW |
API 6A718 bar for oil patch service is held to 40 HRC maximum hardness, which keeps it inside the sour service limits. Strength minimums sit lower because hardness control takes priority.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Tensile Strength (min) | 1034 MPa (150 ksi) |
| Yield Strength 0.2% (min) | 827 MPa (120 ksi) |
| Elongation (min) | 20% |
| Reduction of Area (min) | 25% |
| Hardness (max) | 40 HRC |
Inconel 718 bars and rods are supplied as UNS N07718, W.Nr 2.4668, and GB GH4169. An order written against any of these, or against Alloy 718 or IN718, maps to the same stocked bar.
| Country / Standard | Designation |
|---|---|
| USA (UNS) | UNS N07718 |
| Europe (EN / W.Nr) | 2.4668 / NiCr19Fe19Nb5Mo3 |
| China (GB) | GH4169 |
Stocked Inconel 718 round bar runs from 3 mm to 800 mm diameter in 1 to 6 metre lengths, with profiled sections held alongside and custom cut lengths on order.
Round sections span the widest range of any form we hold. Bright bar sits inside that span with tighter surface control.
| Bar Type | Size Range |
|---|---|
| Round Bar | 3 mm to 800 mm diameter |
| Bright Bar | 4 mm to 500 mm diameter |
| Length (all forms) | 1 to 6 metres; custom cut lengths |
Profiled sections ship from the ranges below; hex sizes between 18 mm and 57 mm across flats move fastest as fastener blanks.
| Bar Type | Size Range |
|---|---|
| Hex Bar | 2 mm to 100 mm across flats |
| Square Bar | 4 mm × 4 mm to 100 mm × 100 mm |
| Flat Bar/ Rectangular Bar | 2 mm to 150 mm thick, 10 mm to 500 mm wide |
Weight per metre follows directly from the 8.19 g/cm³ density: multiply 0.00643 by the square of the diameter in millimetres to get kilograms per metre. There is no need for a separate weight calculator; the table below covers four stocked diameters.
| Round Bar Diameter | Weight per Metre |
|---|---|
| 10 mm | 0.64 kg |
| 25 mm | 4.02 kg |
| 50 mm | 16.08 kg |
| 100 mm | 64.32 kg |
8 bar types cover the stocked range at Amigo Impex: round, hex, square, flat/ rectangular, threaded, hollow, and forged bars.
