Amigo Impex is an Incoloy Bars & Rods manufacturer, stockist, supplier and exporter based in Mumbai, India, established in 2013. Our bar range covers three grades such as Incoloy 800 (UNS N08800), Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825) and Incoloy 925 (UNS N09925), certified to ASTM B408 / ASME SB-408, ASTM B425 / ASME SB-425 and ASTM B805 respectively. ASME has not adopted B805 into Section II Part B, so grade 925 bar carries the ASTM reference only.

Incoloy bar is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy. In grade 800, iron is the largest element, which keeps that grade economical against nickel-dominant alloys, while chromium holds oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Grades 825 and 925 lift nickel well above grade 800: SB-425 sets 38.0 to 46.0 per cent for UNS N08825, and ASTM B805 sets 42.0 to 46.0 per cent for UNS N09925. SB-408 notes that UNS N08800 is normally employed in service up to and including 1100°F (593°C). Above that temperature, creep and rupture strength decide the choice, and the controlled grain size grades 800H (UNS N08810) or 800HT (UNS N08811) are specified instead. Both sit in the same B408 specification.

Incoloy Bars & Rods Manufacturer, Supplier in India

Round bar spans 3 mm to 800 mm in diameter. Hex, square, flat, rectangular, forged and threaded sections are also available in lengths up to 6 metres, supplied bright or black to suit the machining allowance planned. Cutting, machining, threading, fabrication, testing and packing all run in-house at the Mumbai works.

Around 60 to 70 tons of ready material are held in stock, covered by AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certification, and an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate accompanies every order.

Applicable Standard for Incoloy Bar and Rod

Each grade of Incoloy bar answers to its own rod-and-bar specification. The table maps every ASTM document and its ASME counterpart to the grade it governs, so the right one lands on the purchase order.

StandardScope
ASTM B408 / ASME SB-408Nickel-iron-chromium alloy rod and bar
ASTM B425 / ASME SB-425Ni-Fe-Cr-Mo-Cu alloy rod and bar
ASTM B805Precipitation Hardening Nickel Alloys Bar and Wire (covers UNS N09925 among other grades)

Incoloy Bars and Rod Grades

Service conditions pick the grade before price does. Heat up to 593°C points to 800, hotter furnace service to 800H or 800HT, wet acid and chloride exposure to 825, and 925 pairs that corrosion resistance with age-hardened strength.

Incoloy 800 Bars & Rods (UNS N08800)

Incoloy 800 bar takes oxidation and carburisation duty in furnace and heat-treatment hardware under ASTM B408.

Incoloy 825 Bars & Rods (UNS N08825)

Molybdenum and copper equip UNS N08825 bar for sulphuric and phosphoric acid and chloride media.

Incoloy 925 Bars & Rods (UNS N09925)

Age hardening lifts the yield strength of UNS N09925 bar for sour oil and gas components.

Incoloy Bars and Rod Size

Diameter decides machining yield, freight class and rate per kilogram, so size is the first question in most bar enquiries. Stocked material sits inside the bands below, and sections outside them are produced against order.

SectionSize Range
Round Bar3 mm to 800 mm diameter
Hex Bar3.2 mm to 100 mm across flats
Square Bar4 mm to 100 mm
Flat Bar2 mm to 100 mm thick, 10 mm to 500 mm wide
LengthUp to 6 m standard; cut to specified length

Incoloy Round Bar Weight Chart

Weights in this chart are theoretical, calculated on 7.94 g/cm³, the density of Incoloy 800, so bar in 825 (8.14 g/cm³) and 925 (8.08 g/cm³) runs marginally heavier. Multiply the squared millimetre diameter by 0.006236 to reach kilograms per metre.

DiameterWeight per Metre (Theoretical)
10 mm0.62 kg
25 mm3.90 kg
50 mm15.59 kg
100 mm62.36 kg
150 mm140.31 kg

Incoloy Bars and Rod Types

The Incoloy bars and rod types held at our works span the standard rolled sections, the bright supply route and forged stock for diameters beyond rolling capacity.

Incoloy Bar Surface Conditions

Surface condition sets how much machining allowance an Incoloy round bar carries, and it feeds straight into the per-kg rate. A black surface leaves heavy cleanup where ground stock is already near size. Seven finishes are supplied.

Incoloy Bars & Rods FAQs

No. Incoloy is a nickel-iron-chromium family and Inconel is nickel-chromium based with little or no deliberate iron. Grade 800 is iron-rich, but UNS N08825 carries 38.0 to 46.0 per cent nickel and UNS N09925 carries 42.0 to 46.0 per cent, so the two families overlap on nickel content more than the names suggest. They are still not interchangeable on a drawing without engineering approval.

Our Incoloy bars and rods conform to ASTM B408 / ASME SB-408 for grade 800, ASTM B425 / ASME SB-425 for grade 825 and ASTM B805 for grade 925.

Incoloy bright bar is cold drawn or centreless ground to a clean, dimensionally accurate surface ready for machining. Black bar isn't finished at all: it leaves the mill hot rolled with its oxide skin intact, costs less per kg, and suits parts where an allowance is removed anyway.

Incoloy round bar is stocked from 3 mm to 800 mm diameter in lengths up to 6 metres, and every section is cut to specified length in-house.

Square the diameter in millimetres and multiply by 0.006236 to reach kilograms per metre at the 7.94 g/cm³ density of Incoloy 800; a 50 mm bar weighs 15.59 kg per metre.

Yes, an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate ships with every consignment of Incoloy bars and rods, tying each bar back to its heat number for full traceability.
