Super Duplex S32760 (UNS S32760, EN 1.4501) is a 25Cr super duplex steel supplied as bar and rod to ASTM A276 and ASTM A479 / ASME SA-479. The chemistry sets 24.0 to 26.0% chromium against 6.0 to 8.0% nickel and 0.20 to 0.30% nitrogen; molybdenum runs 3.0 to 4.0%, and copper and tungsten add 0.50 to 1.00% each. That balance carries its pitting resistance equivalent (PREN) past 40, the minimum ASTM sets for this grade, so the bar holds up in seawater, brine and hot chloride streams. The annealed bar reaches a minimum tensile strength of 750 MPa and a yield strength of 550 MPa.

Annealed is the only condition listed in ASTM A479 for this grade; the properties below are per ASTM A276 (A479 caps hardness at 300 HBW). For cold-drawn bar (ASTM A276 Condition S: 860 MPa tensile, 720 MPa yield, 16% elongation, max. 335 HBW), explicitly state the condition in your enquiry. Yield is more than three times the 170 MPa minimum ASTM sets for annealed 316L bar; hardness is limited to a single maximum.
