Incoloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy, designated UNS N08825, produced with molybdenum, copper and titanium additions. The grade maintains its integrity in aggressive process media, which is why acid plants and refineries specify it for long-run service. Mechanical minimums under ASTM B423 depend on the delivery condition: Cold-worked annealed pipe and tube; Hot-finished annealed. Hot-forming quality carries no mechanical property requirement. Design calculations should reference the minimums for the condition actually ordered.

Chemical analysis is carried out on every heat. Tensile strength, yield strength and elongation are tested once per lot, a lot being material of the same heat, nominal size and condition under ASTM B829. Each pipe and tube is then given either a hydrostatic test or a non-destructive electric test, at the manufacturer's option unless the purchase order specifies which one. Mill test certificates accompany each consignment, issued from the original mill or from our in-house laboratory. Third-party inspection can also be arranged at the order stage.

Yes. Inconel 825 pipe is an industry misnomer for Incoloy 825 pipe; both names describe the same UNS N08825 material. Ordering against UNS N08825 or ASTM B423 removes the naming ambiguity entirely.
ASTM B705 / ASME SB-705 covers welded Incoloy 825 pipe, while ASTM B704 applies to welded tube, and ASTM B423 governs the seamless product.
