Nickel 201 pipe fittings withstand extremely heated conditions. Above 315 °C, the 0.02% carbon ceiling stops graphitisation from embrittling the fitting wall over long service.

Dimensional checks run against ASME B16.9 or B16.11, with a visual pass over the weld bevel on butt-weld items and over the socket bore or thread form on forged items.
