Amigo Impex is one of the most reliable stainless steel pipe fittings manufacturers in India and has supplied OEMs, valve builders and process contractors since 2013. Butt-weld elbows, tees, reducers, caps and stub ends leave the shelf to ASTM A403 / ASME B16.9 in 1/2 inch to 24 inch NB, across Sch 10S, Sch 40S, Sch 80S and Sch 160. Forged socket weld and threaded fittings follow ASTM A182 / ASME B16.11. Socket weld runs 1/4 inch to 4 inch NB in Class 3000. Threaded runs 1/4 inch to 4 inch NB in Class 3000 and Class 6000. 8 austenitic grades stay on the rack: 304L, 316 & 316L, 317 & 317L, 321, 347, 310, 316Ti and 904L.
Molybdenum in 316 and 316L answers chloride service. Grade 321 carries a titanium addition that holds the microstructure stable after welding heat. Cutting, machining, threading and fabrication run in-house. Refineries, chemical plants, power stations and water treatment works take the output. Around 60 to 70 tonnes sit in the Mumbai stockyard; urgent lots clear in 1 to 2 days and made-to-order work takes about 30 days. Every consignment carries a mill test certificate, and we hold certifications like AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
Every stainless steel pipe fittings enquiry resolves against the parameters tabled below: Covering specification, grade, nominal bore, schedule or pressure class, end preparation, product form and the paperwork travelling with the consignment.
Two material specifications and four dimensional standards cover the range. A403 and A182 fix metallurgy, heat treatment and testing, while the B16 series and MSS SP-43 set face-to-face dimensions, wall thickness and tolerance.
| Specification | Coverage |
|---|---|
| ASTM A403 / ASME SA-403 | Wrought austenitic stainless steel piping fittings; grades, WP304L, WP316, WP316L; classes S, W, WX and WU |
| ASTM A182 / ASME SA-182 | Forged stainless steel pipe fittings, flanges and valve components |
| ASME B16.9 | Factory-made wrought buttwelding fittings |
| ASME B16.28 | Wrought steel buttwelding short radius elbows and returns |
| ASME B16.11 | Forged fittings, socket welding and threaded |
| MSS SP-43 | Wrought and Fabricated Butt-Welding Fittings for Low Pressure, Corrosion Resistant Applications |
| EN 10253-4, DIN 2605, JIS B2312, GB/T 12459 | International butt-welding fitting standards supplied on request |
8 austenitic grades cover the range. It's corrosion duty that settles the choice first, with service temperature and cost weighed behind it.
Grade 304L, low-carbon UNS S30403 welds without carbide precipitation in the heat affected zone.
High-temperature austenitic stainless steel providing excellent oxidation resistance and strength in elevated-temperature environments.
Molybdenum lifts pitting resistance in UNS S31600 and S31603. Chloride bearing process lines, seawater circuits and marine deck piping take these fittings.
Molybdenum-rich austenitic grades offering enhanced corrosion resistance against acids, chlorides, and aggressive chemical environments.
Titanium stabilisation keeps UNS S32100 fittings clear of intergranular attack after welding. Exhaust ducting, refinery heaters and cycling steam lines follow.
Columbium-stabilised austenitic stainless steel providing resistance to intergranular corrosion during elevated-temperature service applications.
Titanium-stabilised 316 stainless steel offering improved intergranular corrosion resistance during elevated-temperature service applications.
Copper and raised molybdenum equip UNS N08904 fittings for sulphuric and phosphoric acid duty. Fertiliser plant, pickling lines and scrubber circuits run it.
Nominal bore and schedule decide whether a fitting matches the connecting pipe. Buttweld stock runs the full ASME B16.9 span, the forged group covers small bore work where buttwelding isn't practical, and reducing combinations get produced to drawing.
| Fitting Group | Governing Standard | Size Range | Wall or Class |
|---|---|---|---|
| Buttweld elbows, tees, reducers, caps and crosses | ASTM A403 / ASME B16.9 | 1/2 inch to 24 inch NB | Sch 10S, 40S, 80S and 160 |
| Long radius 1.5D and short radius 1D elbows | ASME B16.9 and B16.28 | 1/2 inch to 24 inch NB | Matched to pipe schedule |
| Lap joint stub ends | ASME B16.9 and MSS SP-43 | 1/2 inch to 24 inch NB | Type A and Type C |
| Forged socket weld and threaded fittings | ASTM A182 / ASME B16.11 | 1/4 inch to 4 inch NB | Class 3000 and Class 6000 |
Twelve fitting types are available in the stainless steel pipe fittings range held in Mumbai. Elbows turn a line, tees and crosses branch it, reducers step the bore down, and caps and stub ends close or flange the run.

Request a QuoteSmall bore forged fittings travel in poly bags inside cartons, and buttweld elbows, tees and reducers move in strapped wooden crates with the bevelled ends protected. Marking records grade, size, schedule and heat number. Dispatch runs pan-India from Mumbai, and export lots reach the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia. Stock clears in 1 to 2 days; production orders take about 30 days.
Testing runs in-house before packing: dimensional verification against ASME B16.9 or B16.11, positive material identification and visual examination of the bevel. Every consignment carries a mill test certificate, and where the mill document doesn't cover a check, our own report follows. Third-party inspection agencies witness at the works on request. AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 are the certifications we hold.
60–70 tonnes held in Mumbai, with urgent requirements dispatched within one to two days.
AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, with an MTC on every order.
Cutting, machining, threading, fabrication and testing all handled at our own Mumbai facility.
Original mill certificates plus our own test reports, so every batch can be traced back.

The different stainless steel pipe fittings are 45°, 90° and 180° elbows in long and short radius, equal and reducing tees, equal crosses, concentric and eccentric reducers, end caps and lap joint stub ends.
Three joining methods apply: a full penetration butt weld onto the bevelled end of an A403 fitting, a fillet weld into a forged socket, and a screwed NPT or BSP joint on small bore lines.
Stainless steel pipe fittings can be used for potable water, hot water and drainage plumbing; 316L is specified for coastal installations and chlorinated supplies.
Stainless steel pipe fittings outlast copper in aggressive water and don't pit under high flow velocity or a chlorinated supply. Purchase cost runs higher, and the longer replacement interval recovers it.
Available sizes run 1/2 inch to 24 inches NB for stainless steel butt weld pipe fittings in Sch 10S, 40S, 80S and 160, and 1/4 inch to 4 inches NB for forged socket weld and threaded fittings.
The difference sits in the joint. A stainless steel buttweld fitting meets the pipe end to end for a full bore, crevice free line; a socket weld fitting seats the pipe in a recess and takes an external fillet weld.
We export stainless steel pipe fittings from Mumbai to the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia, handling documentation jointly with our clearing agent.
SS pipe fittings route process media, steam and treated water across the eight industries served from our Mumbai stock.
