Amigo Impex is a trusted Nickel Pipes & Tubes manufacturer and supplier in Mumbai, India, stocking and exporting commercially pure nickel tubular products for over a decade. In-house facilities handle cutting, threading, machining, fabrication, packing and testing, so finished lots are supplied from a single location.
Our range covers Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201) at 99.0% minimum nickel plus cobalt. Seamless product is certified to ASTM B161 / ASME SB-161; welded product to ASTM B725 (pipe) and ASTM B730 (tube). Precision bores start at 0.35 mm OD. Annealed and stress-relieved conditions let the same alloy arrive soft for coiling or stiff for straight runs. Weight per metre follows the 8.89 g/cm³ density of pure nickel; wall thickness is sized to the pressure duty of each line under ASME rules. Both seamless and welded routes are produced. Welded nickel pipe and tube are made from flat-rolled nickel strip by an automatic welding process with no filler metal added, then cold-worked and supplied either welded-and-annealed or welded-and-stress-relieved.
Pan-India dispatch runs out of our Mumbai facility, and we export to the USA, Europe, the Gulf, and Asia. As established nickel tube manufacturers, we hold certifications like 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and others, and test certification is issued along with each order. Chemical plants handling caustic and acidic media place most orders, alongside heat exchanger and condenser bundles, instrumentation systems, and aerospace programmes.
We match every inquiry to the specification table below to confirm we can meet your required sizes, material grades, and industry standards for nickel tubes and pipes requirements.
The construction route decides which document governs an order. Seamless and welded nickel tubulars carry separate ASTM numbers, and the general-requirement specifications that sit over them are mapped here as well.
| Standard | Covers |
|---|---|
| ASTM B161 / ASME SB-161 | Nickel seamless pipe and seamless tube |
| ASTM B163 / ASME SB-163 | seamless |
| ASTM B725 | Nickel-welded pipe |
| ASTM B730 | Nickel-welded tube |
| ASTM B829 | General requirements for seamless nickel tubulars |
| ASTM B775 | General requirements for welded pipe |
| ASTM B751 | Welded tube general requirements |
Two grades of commercially pure nickel run under ASTM B161, traded as Alloy 200 and Alloy 201. Carbon is the only difference in chemistry (0.15% max against 0.02% max, with every other element limit identical), but ASTM also sets Nickel 201 lower on strength: 50,000 psi tensile and 12,000 psi yield minimum annealed, against 55,000 psi and 15,000 psi for Nickel 200.
Nickel 200 is the standard commercially pure nickel grade to ASTM B161 / ASME SB-161, specified for chemical transfer piping, cold and warm caustic service and general corrosion duty where metal temperature stays at or below 600°F (315°C).
Nickel 201 caps carbon at 0.02% under ASME SB-161 to prevent graphitisation and embrittlement above 315°C. Process engineers specify this grade for caustic evaporators and hot transfer lines.
The tube is dimensioned on OD and wall; the pipe on nominal bore and schedule. Verified CP nickel tube ranges sit in the table below; pipe schedules are agreed at enquiry, and a size that isn't tabled can still be quoted.
| Dimension | Range |
|---|---|
| Precision Tube OD | 0.35 mm to 9.5 mm |
| Precision Tube ID | 0.2 mm to 8.15 mm |
| Precision Wall | 0.025 mm to 1.5 mm |
| Precision Length | 2 mm to 1,000 mm |
| Commercial Round Tube OD | 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" |
| Commercial Wall Gauges | 0.035", 0.049", 0.065" |
| Standard Length | 60" (1,524 mm), with custom cut lengths |

Nickel tube weight per metre is a theoretical figure, calculated from outside diameter, wall thickness and the 8.89 g/cm³ density common to Nickel 200 and Nickel 201. The chart below covers the commercial round tube gauges.
| Tube OD | Wall Thickness | Theoretical Weight (kg/m) |
|---|---|---|
| 1/8" (3.18 mm) | 0.035" (0.89 mm) | 0.057 |
| 1/4" (6.35 mm) | 0.035" (0.89 mm) | 0.136 |
| 1/4" (6.35 mm) | 0.049" (1.24 mm) | 0.178 |
| 3/8" (9.53 mm) | 0.035" (0.89 mm) | 0.214 |
| 3/8" (9.53 mm) | 0.049" (1.24 mm) | 0.288 |
| 3/8" (9.53 mm) | 0.065" (1.65 mm) | 0.363 |
ASME design standards govern allowable working pressure based on pipe schedule, outside diameter, wall thickness, temper, and operating temperature. For this reason, we calculate pressure limits for each specific line layout rather than publishing a single standard rating. Engineers verify your exact operating conditions from the enquiry before committing wall thickness to an official offer.
5 constructions of Ni pipe and tube come off both seamless and welded manufacturing routes at our Mumbai works, and each pairs with an annealed, as-drawn, or hard temper, so there's a supply condition to match the fabrication plan:
Request the latest nickel pipe and tube price from Amigo Impex. State the grade, size, temper and quantity, and a per-kilogram quotation in INR or USD will be issued against ready stock.

Nickel pipe is ordered by nominal bore and schedule; nickel tube is ordered by outside diameter and wall thickness. Both forms certify to ASTM B161 / ASME SB-161, so state which sizing method the drawing uses.
Order Nickel 201 pipe when the specification restricts carbon to 0.02% maximum; Nickel 200 permits 0.15% maximum and carries the higher minimum strength. Dual-certified 200/201 material covers orders written against either grade.
Both routes are available: seamless nickel pipes and tubes certified to ASTM B161 and ASTM B163, while welded product runs to ASTM B725 for pipe and ASTM B730 for tube, with ERW covered.
Sizes of nickel pipes and tubes span 0.35 mm to 9.5 mm OD in precision tube and 1/8" to 3/8" OD in commercial round tube, with pipe NB and schedule agreed on each enquiry.
Nickel pipe and tube are supplied in the annealed or stress-relieved condition, the two conditions ASTM B161 recognises. Annealing gives the ductility needed for forming, bending and coiling. Stress-relieved (as-drawn) trades ductility for strength: ASTM B161 requires 65,000 psi tensile and 40,000 psi yield minimum for stress-relieved Nickel 200, against 55,000 psi and 15,000 psi annealed. Harder as-drawn tempers are supplied to the customer drawing outside the B161 condition list.
Nickel pipes and tubes can be cut to custom lengths in-house. A stated cut list ships alongside standard 60" (1,524 mm) material.
