Established in 2013, Amigo Impex is a premier manufacturer, supplier, and global exporter of high-grade Monel pipes and tubes based in Mumbai, India. Cutting, machining, threading, fabrication, testing and packing all happen in-house.
Monel pipes and tubes are nickel-copper alloy tubulars supplied in Monel 400 (UNS N04400) against ASTM B165, B163, B725 and B730, across seamless, welded, and Monel ERW pipe construction. Nominally, the alloy carries 63% nickel with 28% copper, which keeps it outside the cupronickel family; a 70/30 Cu-Ni tube is nearly its inverse. That balance lets the material stand up to rapidly flowing seawater, brine and reducing acids.
Pipe spans 6.00 mm to 610.00 mm OD and tube 3.00 mm to 219.10 mm OD on walls of 0.40 mm to 12.70 mm, with heat exchanger, condenser and instrumentation forms cut to length. Weight per metre follows the 8.80 g/cm³ density of Alloy 400; wall selection tracks ASME pressure design rules. Marine, chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas and power installations take most consignments. Our company holds certifications like AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, with 60 to 70 tonnes of stock in Mumbai and a mill test certificate on every dispatch. Forward grade, size and quantity to check ready stock of Monel pipe and tube.
Quotations for Monel pipes and tubes start from the envelope below, which fixes covering specifications, stocked grade, dimensional cover, lengths, end preparation, finish and construction route before any offer is priced.
Construction route settles which document an order of Monel pipes and tubes certifies to; general-requirement specifications comes after the product standards. The mapping covers tubular forms only.

One grade is included in the stocked tubular range; enquiries citing Alloy 400, W.Nr. 2.4360, NiCu30Fe, BS 3074 NA13 or JIS NW4400 all resolve to it.
Monel 400 pipes and tubes are nickel-copper alloy products used in seawater, brine, and hydrofluoric acid service for strong corrosion resistance.
Dimensional cover runs from capillary bores to 24-inch pipe. Pipe is ordered on nominal bore and schedule, tube on outside diameter and wall, and a size that doesn't appear below can still be quoted.
| Product | Verified Range |
|---|---|
| Monel Pipe OD | 6.00 mm to 610.00 mm (up to 24" NB) |
| Monel Seamless Tube OD | 3.00 mm to 219.10 mm |
| ASTM B163 / B730 Tube OD | 3.35 mm to 76.2 mm |
| Welded and ERW Tube OD | 6.35 mm to 114.3 mm |
| Wall Thickness | 0.40 mm to 12.70 mm |
| Gauge | 10 SWG to 20 SWG |
Theoretical weight per metre of Monel 400 seamless pipe comes from kg/m = 3.1416 x wall x (OD - wall) x density / 1000, dimensions in mm, density taken as the published 8.80 g/cm³. Diameters and walls follow ASME B36.10M.
| NPS | OD (mm) | Schedule | Wall (mm) | Theoretical Weight (kg/m) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2" | 21.3 | SCH 40 | 2.77 | 1.42 |
| 1" | 33.4 | SCH 40 | 3.38 | 2.81 |
| 2" | 60.3 | SCH 40 | 3.91 | 6.10 |
| 4" | 114.3 | SCH 80 | 8.56 | 25.02 |
| 6" | 168.3 | SCH 80 | 10.97 | 47.71 |
An Alloy 400 line isn't rated by one catalogue figure. Allowable working pressure is derived from wall, diameter, temperature and allowable stress under the references below, so design conditions are confirmed before wall thickness is offered.
| What Sets the Rating | Governing Reference |
|---|---|
| Allowable stress for UNS N04400 at temperature | ASME BPVC Section II, Part D |
| Wall thickness and schedule dimensions | ASME B36.10M and B36.19M |
| Pressure design of process piping | ASME B31.3 |
| Mill hydrostatic or non-destructive test | ASTM B165, B725 and B730 |
5 constructions of Monel tubes and pipes leave from Mumbai works across the seamless and welded routes; heat transfer bundles are quoted apart from straight pipe because their drawings fix tighter tolerances:

Request a QuoteSmall tubes travel in lined boxes; longer Monel pipes and tubes move in wooden crates or strapped bundles with end caps, under seaworthy packing for export. Marking on every length covers specification, grade, size, wall and heat number. As leading Monel tube suppliers, stockists, and exporters, we dispatch pan-India from Mumbai and ship to the USA, the Gulf, Europe, and Asia. Urgent orders leave in 1 to 2 days from stock, and made-to-order supply runs about 30 days.
Monel tube and pipe testing is completed in-house before packing. Chemical analysis, tensile checks and the hydrostatic or non-destructive examination named in the governing specification are recorded, and each order ships with an MTC combining the original mill record and our own results. Third-party inspection agencies are supported on request. We hold certifications like AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

A Monel pipe is a nickel-copper alloy tubular, nominally 63% nickel and 28% copper, used for seawater and brine lines, heat exchanger and condenser bundles and reducing acid service. Nitric acid and ammonia attack it, so those streams are excluded.
Monel pipes outlast stainless steel pipes in flowing seawater, brine and hydrofluoric acid, at a far higher cost per kilogram. Where chloride exposure stays mild, stainless remains the economical specification.
Monel pipes and tubes conform to ASTM B165 / ASME SB-165 and B163 in seamless form, B725 for welded pipe and B730 for welded tube; B829, B775/ B775M and B751 cover general requirements.
Monel pipe is available from 6.00 mm to 610.00 mm OD, up to 24" NB, and tube from 3.00 mm to 219.10 mm OD, walls 0.40 mm to 12.70 mm.
Seamless, welded, and ERW Monel pipes and tubes are all supplied, with the welded routes covering the larger diameters and lengths up to 26 metres.
Monel pipes and tubes work-harden quickly, so machining needs slow speeds, low feed rates and sharp tooling. Welding succeeds with matching filler, controlled heat input and clean joint preparation.
