Amigo Impex is a Hastelloy pipe and tube manufacturer and supplier in Mumbai, India, stocking, supplying and exporting Hastelloy pipe and tube since 2013. Cutting, threading, machining, fabrication, testing and packing are handled in-house.
Hastelloy pipes and tubes are nickel-based alloy products containing molybdenum, chromium and tungsten, with the balance of alloying elements varying between C-276 and C-22. Molybdenum carries the reducing acids, hydrochloric, while chromium covers oxidising chlorides. The pairing holds off pitting, crevice attack and stress corrosion cracking where stainless piping thins.
Two grades reach pipe and tube form: C-276 and C-22. Seamless product is certified to ASTM B622 / ASME SB-622, welded pipe to ASTM B619 and the welded tube to ASTM B626. Seamless pipe runs NPS 1/8 to NPS 8 (10.3 mm to 219.1 mm OD), and seamless tube runs 6.0 mm to 88.9 mm OD, which is the upper limit ASTM B622 sets for tube. Welded pipe to ASTM B619 is supplied in Schedules 5S, 10S, 40S and 80S, and welded tube to ASTM B626 runs 3.2 mm to 88.9 mm OD on 0.41 mm to 3.7 mm wall.
A ready stock of approximately 60 to 70 tonnes.. Each dispatch carries its own material test certificate, and our company holds AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications. Chemical plants, scrubber circuits, sour gas lines and heat exchanger bundles take most of the output. Send grade, size and quantity to confirm availability.
Supply is bounded by the Hastelloy pipe specifications below, which are checked before any quotation leaves our desk. Governing specification, grade, size and schedule range, end preparation and certification requirements are all fixed by the table.
Construction route decides which document governs the material, while dimensions answer to separate ASME tables. These requirements help Hastelloy pipe suppliers identify the correct specification for each pipe and tube order.
| Standard | Scope |
|---|---|
| ASTM B622 / ASME SB-622 | Seamless nickel alloy pipe and tube |
| ASTM B619 / ASME SB-619 | Welded nickel alloy pipe |
| ASTM B626 / ASME SB-626 | Welded nickel alloy tube |
| ASME B36.10M and B36.19M | Referenced for outside diameter and schedule designations only. Dimensional tolerances are set by the product specification read with its general-requirements standard: ASTM B622 with ASTM B829 (seamless pipe and tube), ASTM B619 with ASTM B775 (welded pipe), and ASTM B626 with ASTM B751 (welded tube). |
| ASTM B829 | General requirements - seamless nickel alloy pipe and tube |
| ASTM B775 | General requirements - welded nickel alloy pipe |
| ASTM B751 | General requirements - welded nickel alloy tube |
Grade selection between C-276 and C-22 depends primarily on the corrosion environment. C-276 provides broad resistance to mixed acids, wet chlorine and chloride-bearing environments, while C-22 offers strong resistance in oxidising acids and chloride-containing media.
Alloy C-276 provides strong resistance to wet chlorine, mixed acids and chloride-bearing environments, making it suitable for demanding chemical-processing applications.
Alloy C-22 contains higher chromium than C-276, providing strong resistance to oxidising acids and chloride-containing environments.
Pipe is ordered on nominal bore and schedule, tube on outside diameter and wall. Cutting, threading and grooving all happen here, so a stated cut list doesn't wait on a second workshop.

| Seamless Tube OD | 6.0 mm to 88.9 mm |
| Welded Pipe | NPS 1/8 to NPS 30 per ASME B36.19M |
| Welded Tube OD | 3.2 mm to 88.9 mm |
| Wall Thickness | Set per product: welded tube 0.41 mm to 3.7 mm (ASTM B626); welded pipe per Schedules 5S to 80S; seamless pipe per Schedules 10, 40 and 80. |
| Schedules | SCH 10, 40 and 80 as regularly available under ASTM B622 Appendix X2. SCH 5S and 10S to ASME B36.19M on request. Heavier schedules such as 160 and XXS fall outside the standard availability tables and are made to order against confirmed mill capability. |

Allowable working pressure follows grade, wall thickness, outside diameter and design temperature, so it is derived from the documents below.
| Design Input | Governing Reference |
|---|---|
| Allowable stress by grade and temperature | ASME BPVC Section II, Part D |
| Wall thickness by schedule | ASME B36.10M and B36.19M |
| Pressure design of process piping | ASME B31.3 |
| Mill hydrostatic or non-destructive test | ASTM B622, B619 and B626 |
The Hastelloy tube and pipe range covers seamless and welded constructions, including the following forms. Heat exchanger tubes are quoted separately from standard pipe because the bundle drawing typically specifies tighter requirements for wall thickness, length and tolerances.
Pipe and tube move in wooden crates, strapped bundles or pallets with end caps fitted, and export consignments get sea-freight packing. Each piece carries grade, specification, OD, wall thickness and heat number. Dispatch runs from Mumbai across pan-India, while export orders head to the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia. Ex-stock material clears in 1 to 2 days; made-to-order production needs about 30 days.
Test work runs inside the same Mumbai premises that pack the order. Every order of Hastelloy tubes leaves with a material test certificate carrying the original mill record and our own results; EN 10204 3.2 is issued on request. Chemical analysis, tensile testing and the hydrostatic or non-destructive test named in the governing specification are recorded before packing. Third-party inspection agencies are supported. We hold certifications like AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

Two grades are available in pipe and tube form: C-276 and C-22. Both are supplied in seamless and welded constructions according to the required specification and size.
Seamless pipe runs to 219.1 mm OD and seamless tube to 88.9 mm OD under ASTM B622. Welded pipe is supplied to ASTM B619 in Schedules 5S, 10S, 40S and 80S, and welded tube to ASTM B626 from 3.2 mm to 88.9 mm OD.
Specify seamless Hastelloy pipe for high-pressure and aggressive duty, since no weld seam exists to start corrosion. Welded pipe covers larger diameters at lower cost, with the trade-off that ASME B31.3 applies a weld joint quality factor that lowers the allowable pressure for the same wall.
C-276 resists dilute hydrochloric acid and mixed acid service well. For hot or concentrated hydrochloric acid, the Ni-Mo B-series alloys such as B-3 (UNS N10675) generally outperform C-276. Grade selection should be confirmed against the acid concentration, the temperature and any oxidising species present in the stream.
Yes, Hastelloy pipes and tubes can be welded on site by common arc processes. Excessive heat input must be avoided, and these alloys harden by cold work rather than heat treatment.
A material test certificate to EN 10204 3.1 comes with every Hastelloy pipe order, and 3.2 certification is raised upon request. Heat numbers are marked on each piece.
Acid, chloride and hot-gas service carry Hastelloy piping into eight industries where stainless steel corrodes too quickly.
