Amigo Impex is a trusted Titanium Pipes & Tubes manufacturer and supplier in Mumbai, India, stocking and exporting titanium tubulars for over a decade. Cutting, machining, threading, fabrication, testing and packing all run in-house.

Titanium is a transition metal with the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metallic element, and it resists the seawater, chlorides and oxidising acids that pit stainless steel piping. Material is certified to ASTM B861 / ASME SB-861 for seamless pipe, ASTM B862 / ASME SB-862 for welded pipe, and ASTM B338 / ASME SB-338 for condenser and heat exchanger tube. Stock covers the commercially pure grades Titanium Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 4. Diameters span from 1.5 mm tube to 1219.2 mm welded pipe. Weight per metre follows CP Titanium's 4.51 g/cm³ density, and wall thickness is sized to each line's pressure duty. Seamless and welded (EFW) construction is supplied.

Titanium Pipes & Tubes Manufacturer, Supplier in India

Heat exchanger and condenser bundles, marine and offshore circuits, chemical plants and aerospace hydraulic programmes utilise these titanium tubular products most. We dispatch across India from Mumbai and export worldwide to the USA, the Gulf, Europe, and Asia. Certified to AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, we maintain 60 to 70 tonnes of ready stock and provide a mill test certificate with every order.

Applicable Standards for Titanium Pipe and Tube

The manufacturing process and end use determine titanium pipe and tube specifications, dividing standards across seamless, welded, condenser, and aerospace applications as detailed below.

StandardCovers
ASTM B861 / ASME SB-861Titanium and titanium alloy seamless pipe
ASTM B862 / ASME SB-862Titanium and titanium alloy welded pipe
ASTM B338 / ASME SB-338Seamless and welded titanium tube for condensers and heat exchangers

AMS 4941 / 4942CP titanium tubing for aerospace, available on request

Titanium Pipes and Tubes Grades

Three commercially pure grades make up the titanium pipes and tubes range. Interstitial oxygen and iron limits separate them: strength climbs from Grade 1 to Grade 4, while formability moves the other way.

Titanium Grade 1 Pipes & Tubes (UNS R50250)

Titanium Grade 1 is the softest CP grade, selected for pipe and tube where deep forming, tight bending and maximum ductility govern fabrication.

Titanium Grade 2 Pipes & Tubes (UNS R50400)

Titanium Grade 2 is the volume grade. ASME SB-861 sets minima of 345 MPa tensile strength, 275 MPa yield and 20% elongation for this pipe, and SB-338 sets the same minima for the tube.

Titanium Grade 4 Pipes & Tubes (UNS R50700)

Titanium Grade 4 carries the highest strength of the CP family, offered where strength governs and alloy additions aren't wanted in the tubing.

Titanium Pipe and Tube Size

Pipe is ordered on nominal bore and schedule; tube on OD and wall. The verified envelope sits below; seamless and welded pipe ceilings differ, which determines large-diameter supply.

DimensionRange
Seamless Pipe OD21.3 mm to 219.1 mm (1/2" NB to 8" NB)
Welded / EFW Pipe OD21.3 mm to 1219.2 mm (1/2" NB to 48" NB)
Pipe Nominal Bore1/2" NB to 48" NB welded; 1/2" NB to 8" NB seamless
Tube OD1.5 mm to 350 mm
Wall ThicknessPipe 1.65 mm to 20 mm (SCH 5S upward); tube 0.3 mm to 20 mm
SchedulesSCH 5S to SCH 80S per ASME B36.19M up to 30" NB; above 30" NB and for heavier walls, including XS and XXS, walls are set to ASME B36.10M or to a specified thickness
LengthsSingle random, double random, cut to specification

Titanium Tube Weight Chart

Titanium tube weight per metre is theoretical, worked from OD, wall thickness and the 4.51 g/cm³ density shared by Grades 1, 2 and 4. Six commonly stocked metric sizes are charted below.

Titanium Pipe Pressure Rating

A single universal pressure figure isn't published for titanium pipe. Allowable working pressure follows outside diameter, wall thickness or schedule, grade and operating temperature, worked out under the applicable ASME design rules. Seamless construction takes the higher-pressure duty, while welded and EFW pipe covers low and medium-pressure at larger diameters. Stated design conditions are checked before wall thickness is committed.

Titanium Pipe and Tube Types

Titanium pipes and tubes are produced by seamless or welded routes across 4 distinct types tailored for diverse industrial and heat exchanger needs.

Titanium Pipes & Tubes Shipping and Packaging

Small-diameter titanium tubes travel in strapped bundles, with plastic end caps and interleaving to keep the surfaces from rubbing in transit. Large-diameter pipes are shipped individually. As an established Titanium Pipes & Tubes supplier and stockist, we pack export consignments in seaworthy wooden crates and clear them under ITC-HS code 8108 90 10. Dispatch for ready stock takes 1 to 2 days, while made-to-order production requires 30 days.

Testing and Certifications for Titanium Tubing

Certification travels with every consignment of titanium tubing. An EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate carrying original mill data and in-house test results is raised per order, with heat-by-heat material traceability, and third-party inspection can be arranged where a purchase order requires it. Certifications held cover AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

FAQs

Titanium pipe holds up in seawater, chloride solutions and oxidising acids that attack stainless steel, and its 4.51 g/cm³ density keeps installed weight low. Chemical, desalination and offshore lines specify it for that duty.

Titanium seamless pipe is extruded or cold-drawn from a hollow billet and carries no weld seam. ASTM B861 sets no upper diameter limit, and our seamless supply runs to 219.1 mm OD (8" NB). Welded pipe is formed from plate or strip and arc-welded to ASTM B862. It costs less and takes larger diameters, and we supply it to 1219.2 mm OD (48" NB).

Grade 2 suits most pressure and heat exchanger uses, meeting the SB-861 pipe minima and the SB-338 tube minima of 345 MPa tensile and 275 MPa yield. Choose Grade 1 for complex forming and Grade 4 when you need maximum pure titanium strength.

Titanium tubes serve heat exchangers, surface condensers and evaporators in chemical plants and power stations, desalination and offshore seawater circuits, and aerospace hydraulic lines.

Titanium pipe and tube welds by TIG under full inert gas shielding, including back-purging of the joint interior, because the metal absorbs oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen at welding temperature.

Titanium pipes and tubes are wrought titanium articles and fall under Indian ITC-HS code 8108 90 10.

Yes, Amigo Impex supplies every order of titanium pipes and tubes with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate and full heat traceability; third-party inspection is arranged on request.
