Amigo Impex is a Hastelloy wire manufacturer, supplier, and exporter based in Mumbai, India, dealing in industrial metals since 2013. The stocked grade is Hastelloy C276 (UNS N10276). Hastelloy C276 welding wire is supplied to AWS A5.14 / ASME SFA-5.14, classification ERNiCrMo-4. Drawn wire for non-welding use is supplied to DIN 17753 or to agreed purchase order requirements.
The alloy chemistry explains why C276 wire is selected for demanding corrosive service. Molybdenum at 15.0 to 17.0% contributes to resistance in reducing acids such as hydrochloric acid. Chromium at 14.5 to 16.5% supports resistance to oxidising environments, while tungsten at 3.0 to 4.5% contributes to resistance against localised corrosion in chloride-containing service. C276 welding wire is also used where the deposited weld metal needs corrosion resistance compatible with the parent alloy, including fabrication of scrubbers, reactors and offshore equipment.
Drawn wire is available from 0.15 mm to 6 mm diameter. Welding filler diameters are concentrated between 0.80 mm and 3.20 mm. TIG filler wire is supplied as straightened cut lengths, with 914 mm as the standard length, while MIG welding wire is supplied on spools for continuous feeding. Welding wire is supplied in the annealed condition; spring temper applies to cold-drawn wire for non-welding use. The range also covers coil wire, spring wire, bright drawn wire and round wire, supplied in conditions from soft annealed to spring temper. Cutting, testing and packing are carried out in-house, supporting custom cut-length requirements.
Ready stock of approximately 60 to 70 tonnes is maintained across the range at the Mumbai facility. Standard stock items can generally be dispatched within 1 to 2 days, while made-to-order diameters typically require around 30 days, subject to grade, diameter, temper and quantity. For related corrosion-resistant joining requirements, Amigo Impex also handles Hastelloy Fasteners, including Hastelloy bolts, screws and nuts. Pan-India deliveries are supported from Mumbai, with export consignments supplied to the USA, Gulf, Europe and Asia.
Grade, diameter, temper and supply format determine the requirements for each Hastelloy wire enquiry. The following table summarises the standard supply range, while requirements outside these parameters can be confirmed before quotation.
AWS A5.14 / ASME SFA-5.14 governs Hastelloy C276 welding wire under classification ERNiCrMo-4. Non-welding drawn wire is supplied to DIN 17753 or to agreed purchase order requirements. Together, these standards cover the product, welding and inspection requirements commonly specified on purchase orders.
| Standard | Scope |
|---|---|
| AWS A5.14 / ASME SFA-5.14 | Bare nickel and nickel-alloy welding electrodes and rods; classification ERNiCrMo-4 |
| DIN 17753 | Wrought nickel and nickel alloy wire: requirements and testing; alloy C276 is designated NiMo16Cr15W, material number 2.4819 (composition to DIN 17744) |
The stocked Hastelloy wire range consists of one grade: C276. This nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy is selected for a broad range of corrosive-service applications in drawn and welding-wire forms.
AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo-4 Hastelloy C276 welding wire resists severe chemical and chloride corrosion. Non-welding drawn wire in the same grade is supplied to DIN 17753 or to agreed purchase order requirements.
All types are supplied in Hastelloy C276, subject to diameter and production requirements, grouped below by cross-section and by application.
Supplied on spools, in coils, and in a bright drawn finish according to the supply format required.
Each Hastelloy wire order is packaged according to its supply format before despatch from Mumbai. Spooled wire is packed in cartons with suitable protection, while coils are secured with strapping and protective wrapping. Straightened cut lengths can be supplied in lined wooden cases for export transport. Protective packaging helps keep the wire clean and free from contamination until use.
Every package is identified with the grade, heat number, diameter and applicable specification, with custom marking available according to the purchase order. Despatch covers pan-India, while export consignments are supplied to the USA, Gulf, Europe and Asia.
Each Hastelloy wire lot undergoes the applicable in-house inspections before packing. These can include chemical analysis, positive material identification and dimensional inspection against the ordered diameter. Mechanical properties vary with diameter and temper, so the applicable certified values are reported for the supplied condition.
Third-party inspection can be arranged when specified by the purchase order. An EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate accompanies every applicable consignment, while 3.2 documentation can be arranged on request. The same traceability approach can be applied to related Hastelloy fasteners when specified for bolts, nuts or other machined components.
Amigo Impex holds AS 9120B, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications. Material can be supplied against PED 2014/68/EU requirements where the mill holds the necessary material approval, subject to confirmation at order stage.

Hastelloy wire is used for TIG and MIG welding of C276 fabrications, spring applications and other industrial requirements where corrosion resistance is important. Typical applications include chemical processing equipment, flue gas desulphurisation systems, reactors, scrubbers and offshore equipment.
AWS A5.14 classifies Hastelloy C276 welding wire as ERNiCrMo-4, with the corresponding ASME designation under SFA-5.14. The classification applies to the C276 welding wire used for applicable TIG and MIG welding applications.
Drawn wire diameters from 0.15 mm to 6 mm are available, with standard welding filler sizes concentrated between 0.80 mm and 3.20 mm. Sizes outside the standard supply range can be considered against the order. Made-to-order sizes typically require around 30 days, subject to diameter, quantity and production requirements.
Hastelloy TIG wire is supplied as straightened cut lengths, with 914 mm as the standard length, and is manually fed into the weld pool. MIG welding wire is supplied on spools for continuous feeding through the welding torch. The alloy grade can remain C276 in both applications, while the supply format and diameter range differ.
Yes, both formats are available. Fine and MIG welding wire can be supplied on spools, while heavier gauges can be supplied in coils. TIG filler wire is supplied as straightened cut lengths according to the required length.
Yes, an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate accompanies every applicable Hastelloy wire consignment. The documentation identifies the supplied material and applicable specification, while 3.2 certification can be arranged when required by the purchase order.
Hastelloy wire is used either as welding filler material or as drawn wire for applications requiring corrosion resistance and suitable mechanical properties. Major application sectors include:
