Amigo Impex is a nickel wire manufacturer, supplier, stockist and exporter based in Mumbai, India, operating since 2013. The range covers commercially pure nickel wire in two grades, Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201), in diameters from 0.025 mm to 25.00 mm. Both grades have a minimum of 99.0 per cent nickel + cobalt, with carbon being the differentiator in their chemistry.
Nickel 200 is permitted a maximum of 0.15% carbon, while Nickel 201 is limited to a maximum of 0.02% carbon. Nickel 201 is chosen for applications demanding long exposure to temperatures over 315°C because its lower carbon content minimises the possibility of graphitisation. Nickel wire is also prized for its corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and ferromagnetic behaviour below its Curie temperature.
Nickel wire is available in a variety of states ranging from soft annealed to full hard. Matte and bright finishes are available on bare, uncoated round wire. Fine diameters are provided on spools and bigger gauges are available in coils or cut lengths. Custom diameters can also be checked against the drawing and the appropriate specification. Our Mumbai plant does the cutting, testing and packing in-house.
Ready stock of approximately 60 to 70 tonnes supports urgent orders, with stock items generally dispatched within 1 to 2 days. Made-to-order diameters typically require around 30 days, depending on the specification. Pricing is quoted per kilogram through dated offers. Each lot is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate, with 3.2 certification available when specified. Supply covers pan-India, with exports to the USA, Gulf, Europe and Asia.

Dimensional and property requirements for wrought nickel wire are taken from DIN 17753:2002. Diameters above 10 mm are supplied to the specification stated on the purchase order.
Commercially pure nickel wire is supplied against the applicable wire standards. These standards define requirements for nickel and nickel alloy wire, while EN 10204 covers the inspection documentation provided with the material.

The nickel wire range comprises two commercially pure grades: Nickel 200 and Nickel 201. Both provide high nickel content and good resistance to corrosive environments, while their different carbon limits determine where each wire nickel grade is best suited.
Nickel 200 wire has a maximum carbon content of 0.15% and is widely used for electrical, battery, chemical-processing and caustic-service applications. Its combination of nickel content, corrosion resistance and electrical properties makes it suitable for general-purpose nickel wire requirements.
Nickel 201 wire has a maximum carbon content of 0.02%. The lower carbon limit makes the grade suitable for applications involving prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures, where resistance to graphitisation is important.

Nickel-plated wire, nickel-copper alloy wire and nickel chromium wire fall outside this commercially pure range. Welding filler wire is also a separate product. ERNi-1 filler metal, also known as Filler Metal 61, is supplied under AWS A5.14 as UNS N02061 with 93.0% nickel minimum and 2.0 to 3.5% titanium, and is not interchangeable with Nickel 200 or Nickel 201 wire.
Packaging is selected according to wire diameter, supply format and destination. Fine nickel wire is supplied on protected spools and packed in suitable cartons, while heavier coils are secured with wrapping and strapping. Straightened cut lengths can be packed in lined cases when additional protection is required during transport.
Each package is identified with the grade, heat number, diameter and applicable specification. Custom marking can also be provided when specified in the order. Domestic consignments are dispatched across pan-India from Mumbai, while export shipments are prepared for the USA, Gulf, European and Asian markets.
Each nickel wire lot undergoes the applicable chemical analysis, positive material identification and dimensional inspection before packing. Tensile properties are evaluated according to the specified grade, diameter and temper, as mechanical properties can vary with the delivered condition.
Third-party inspection can be arranged when required by the purchase order. Every consignment is supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate, while 3.2 certification can be provided when specified. We hold AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.
