The Incoloy wire range resolves into four grades. Three of them step up the 800 series for hot oxidising and carburising service, and Incoloy 825 answers reducing and oxidising acids, chlorides and pitting media.
Incoloy 800 wire resists oxidation and carburisation in hot furnace atmospheres and holds off the chloride stress corrosion cracking that retires ordinary austenitic wire in steam-side duty.
Controlled carbon and a coarse annealed grain give Incoloy 800H wire the creep and rupture strength that long furnace campaigns demand from fixture and basket lacing.
Incoloy 800HT wire adds a tightened aluminium and titanium window over 800H, lifting stress rupture performance for the hottest fixture work in the series.
Molybdenum and copper set Incoloy 825 wire against sulphuric and phosphoric acid, pitting and crevice attack, with titanium stabilising the alloy for welded assemblies.

UNS N08800 is the equivalent of Incoloy 800 wire. The rest of the family follows the same pattern: N08810 for 800H, N08811 for 800HT and N08825 for Incoloy 825 wire.
