Amigo Impex is an Inconel wires manufacturer, supplier, stockist and exporter based in Mumbai, India, active in industrial metals since 2013. The drawn range spans six grades: Inconel 600, 601, 625, 690, 718 and X-750, each a nickel-chromium alloy wire ordered where heat and corrosive media rule out stainless steel in gas turbine, furnace, chemical plant and offshore work.

Chromium forms the oxide film that carries the wire through the furnace heat. Behind it, the nickel matrix resists chloride stress corrosion cracking, the failure that retires ordinary spring stock early. Alloying shifts the emphasis grade by grade: molybdenum for acid and seawater duty, aluminium for stronger oxidation resistance, and titanium with niobium for age-hardened spring strength.

Inconel Wires Manufacturer & Supplier in India

Diameters run from 0.025 mm to 22.20 mm, cold-drawn bright in round, flat and shaped profiles. For Inconel X-750, AMS 5698 covers wire 12.70 mm and under in No. 1 temper, and AMS 5699 covers wire 15.88 mm and under in spring temper. Certification follows the governing ASTM, ASME and AMS documents for the grade and diameter ordered. Condition covers annealing through spring temper, with aged variants quoted for hardenable grades. Premium Inconel spring wire options, alongside safety and filler types, are wound onto spools, coils, or straightened cut lengths tailored for equipment feeding. Cutting, testing, and packing run in-house, so custom orders move seamlessly from enquiry to despatch on one floor.

Mumbai stock holds 60 to 70 tonnes of ready nickel alloy material, urgent despatches clear in 1 to 2 days, and a made-to-order diameter takes around 30 days. Each consignment carries an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate, and our company holds AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications, with pan-India supply, exports to the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia, and per-kilogram pricing on dated offers.

Applicable Standards for Inconel Wire

Purchase orders name Inconel wire through four routes: the ASTM product form, its ASME adoption for coded fabrication, the AMS documents on aerospace drawings, and the AWS classification for welding consumables.

StandardScope
ASTM B166 / ASME SB-166Nickel-chromium-iron alloy rod, bar and wire covering UNS N06600, N06601 and N06690
ASTM B446 / ASME SB-446Nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy (UNS N06625) rod and bar. Inconel 625 wire is drawn to this chemistry, with wire mechanical properties agreed upon at the order stage.
ASTM B637 / ASME SB-637Precipitation-hardening and cold-worked nickel alloy rod, bar, forgings and forging stock, covering UNS N07718 (718) and UNS N07750 (X-750). Wire is not a product form in this specification; 718 and X-750 wire is drawn to the B637 chemistry, with wire mechanical properties agreed at order.
AMS 5698 / AMS 5699Inconel X-750 wire. AMS 5698 covers No. 1 temper wire 12.70 mm and under; AMS 5699 covers spring temper wire 15.88 mm and under. Both conditions are precipitation-hardenable.
AWS A5.14 / ASME SFA-5.14Bare nickel alloy welding electrodes and rods for filler and MIG wire

Inconel Wire Grades

The Inconel wire range runs to six grades. Heat resistance sits with 600 and 601, corrosion duty with 625 and 690, and spring or fastener strength with the age-hardenable pair, 718 and X-750.

Inconel 600 Wires (UNS N06600)

Inconel 600 wire is certified to ASTM B166 with 72.0% minimum nickel, resisting chloride stress corrosion cracking in lockwire, spring and heater lead duty.

Inconel 601 Wires (UNS N06601)

An aluminium addition gives Inconel 601 wire a tougher oxide scale for furnace baskets and heat treatment fixtures.

Inconel 625 Wires (UNS N06625)

Molybdenum, along with niobium, sets Inconel 625 wire against pitting and seawater attack. Chemistry follows ASTM B446 (UNS N06625), and fabricators order the AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo-3 classification as the matching filler for 625 parent metal.

Inconel 690 Wires (UNS N06690)

Grade 690 wire raises chromium above the 600 level, which suits nitric acid streams and nuclear water chemistry.

Inconel 718 Wires (UNS N07718)

Fastener and spring duty at temperature takes Inconel 718 wire, which age-hardens after forming and holds strength where stainless wire has long since softened.

Inconel X-750 Wires (UNS N07750)

Inconel X-750 spring wire is supplied to AMS 5699 in spring temper, with AMS 5698 covering No. 1 temper wire where a softer draw suits the coiling machine.

Shipping and Packaging of Inconel Wires

Leading Inconel wire suppliers pack shipments according to exact wire formats. Boxed spools protect fine gauges from humidity, heavy coils travel bound under waterproof wrap, and straightened cut lengths load into lined wooden cases for sea freight. Filler packs stay sealed until use, since moisture, oil and handling residue on the rod surface show up as porosity in the finished weld. Every tag lists the heat number, grade, diameter, and specification. Dispatch runs daily pan-India from Mumbai, with export routes serving the USA, Gulf, Europe, and Asia.

Inconel Wire Testing and Certifications

Every heat supplied is traceable to the original mill certificate issued to EN 10204 3.1, with 3.2 inspection by an independent third party arranged on request. Chemistry is verified against the governing specification for the grade: ASTM B166 for 600, 601 and 690, ASTM B446 chemistry for 625; ASTM B637 / ASME SB-637 for 718 and X-750. Room-temperature tensile and hardness results appear on the certificate for the ordered temper, and PMI verification is available at despatch where the purchase order calls for it. Welding and filler wire ships against its AWS A5.14 classification. Each tag carries the heat number, grade, diameter and specification so the certificate can be matched to the coil on arrival.

FAQs

Inconel wire is used for springs, safety lockwire, welding filler, heating elements and fasteners in plants that run hot or utilise corrosive substances. Gas turbines, furnaces, chemical reactors and offshore equipment account for most of the demand.

Choose 600 or 601 for oxidising heat, 625 for acid, chloride and seawater exposure, 690 for nitric acid and nuclear water duty, and 718 or X-750 where spring or fastener strength governs.

Inconel wire conducts poorly compared with copper, and that resistance is the working principle: the alloy serves as a heating element and resistance wire because it converts current to heat while resisting oxidation.

Inconel safety wire is nickel-chromium and keeps its strength around hot sections, while Monel safety wire is nickel-copper and suits marine and cooler zones. Aircraft engine practice locks hot-end fasteners with Inconel lockwire.

Spring temper Inconel wire is available across the range, with 718 and X-750 aged after coiling to reach final spring strength. Annealed wire remains the choice when forming comes first.
