Amigo Impex is a Nickel Sheets and Plates manufacturer, stockist, supplier and exporter based in Mumbai, India, trading since 2013, with cutting, machining, fabrication, testing and packing completed in-house. Nickel sheet and plate is flat-rolled commercially pure nickel certified to ASTM B162 / ASME SB-162, for nickel plate, sheet and strip. Two grades sit inside that scope: Nickel 200 (UNS N02200) and Nickel 201 (UNS N02201). Both carry 99.0% minimum nickel plus cobalt, and carbon separates them. Nickel 200 permits 0.15% max carbon. Nickel 201 caps it at 0.02% max and keeps its ductility past 315 °C, where the higher-carbon grade risks graphite precipitation along the grain boundaries. Annealed material certifies at 380 MPa minimum tensile in grade 200 and 345 MPa in grade 201; elongation is 40% minimum for plate and heavier sheet; ASTM B162 reduces it to 35% for 1.3 to 2.7 mm and 30% for 0.25 to 1.2 mm.
ASTM B162 Table 1 classifies flat products by thickness: plate at 4.8 mm and over, sheet from 0.46 mm to 6.4 mm. Shim, perforated, circle and anode variants ship alongside the plain hot-rolled and cold-rolled range.
Caustic soda evaporators, chlorine handling equipment, food and pharmaceutical vessels, electroplating anodes and battery connectors take most of the supply. Dispatch covers pan-India from Mumbai, with export consignments to the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia. Roughly 60 to 70 tonnes of ready stock stands behind urgent orders, and every lot leaves with a mill test certificate. Only two grades of commercially pure nickel fall inside the ASTM B162 scope, and carbon alone divides them. Material dual-certified to both grades answers a drawing written against either designation, provided it holds carbon at the 0.02% maximum of Nickel 201 while still meeting the higher 380 MPa tensile and 100 MPa yield minimums that ASTM B162 sets for Nickel 200. Nickel-copper flat product is held as Monel sheets and plates.
Nickel 200 sheet, the general-purpose grade, carries 0.15% max carbon and is certified annealed at 380 MPa minimum tensile with 100 MPa minimum yield.
Alloy 201 plate holds carbon at 0.02% max against embrittlement past 315 °C, and its annealed minimums are 345 MPa tensile with 80 MPa yield.
Trade practice draws the sheet-and-plate line in several places. We follow ASTM B162, which starts plate at 4.8 mm and runs sheet to 6.4 mm, allowing the 4.8 to 6.4 mm band to be supplied as either form. Any Ni sheet size outside the bands below is sheared or water-jet cut to the drawing.

Bundle tags state grade, heat number, size and specification, and the document pack holds the test certificate. Domestic supply reaches pan-India from Mumbai; export consignments move to the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia. Ex-stock material leaves in 1 to 2 days; made-to-order rolls in around 30 days.
Chemical analysis, positive material identification, dimensional inspection and surface examination are all run in our own works before a lot is packed. Certificates follow EN 10204 3.1, pairing the mill record with our test results; 3.2 documentation with witness inspection is raised where the purchase order calls for it. Certifications cover AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

Temperature decides it: Nickel 201 sheet is specified above 315 °C or for heavy cold forming, because its 0.02% max carbon resists intergranular embrittlement. Nickel 200 covers general service below that, at the higher annealed strength.
Nickel sheet is stocked in the 0.46 mm to 6.4 mm band, and nickel plate from 4.8 mm upward is cut to order. The heavier plate is rolled against the mill schedule.
Cutting runs in-house on shearing and water jet lines, with edging and deburring finished before packing. Single cut pieces and full plates both ship.
Pure nickel sheet suits battery tabs, busbars and cell connectors, since unalloyed nickel holds low contact resistance and welds cleanly by resistance spot welding. Thin cold-rolled material is the usual choice.
Nickel silver is a copper-zinc-nickel alloy well under 30% nickel, and ASTM B162 doesn't cover it. Our flat product is commercially pure nickel at 99.0% minimum.
