Amigo Impex is a super duplex steel sheets and plates manufacturer, stockist, supplier and exporter, established in Mumbai, India, in 2013. Flat-rolled super duplex leaves our stock certified to ASTM A240 / ASME SA-240, with cutting, machining, fabrication, testing and packing handled in-house. Stock runs in two grades, Super Duplex S32750 (2507) and Super Duplex S32760.
Chemistry defines the 25Cr family. Chromium runs 24.0 to 26.0% with 6.0 to 8.0% nickel in both stocked grades. S32750 carries 3.0 to 5.0% molybdenum with 0.24 to 0.32% nitrogen, while S32760 runs 3.0 to 4.0% molybdenum with 0.20 to 0.30% nitrogen alongside deliberate copper and tungsten. ASTM A240 sets a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) floor of 41 for both. Ferrite and austenite split the microstructure almost evenly. Yield holds a 550 MPa floor in either grade, tensile opens at 795 MPa minimum for S32750 and 750 MPa for S32760, and elongation minimums are 15% and 25% respectively. Chloride pitting, crevice attack and stress corrosion cracking are the reason these grades get specified. The practical service ceiling is about 300 °C, set not by corrosion but by the toughness loss that follows long exposure above that point.
Thickness spans 0.3 mm to 120 mm in widths up to 3500 mm, and the type list ranges from hot-rolled plates and cold-rolled sheets through shim, foil, and strip material.
Despatches cover pan-India, and export consignments reach the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia at per-kilogram quotations. Mumbai inventory stands at 60 to 70 tonnes; each order carries a mill test certificate, and our company holds certifications like AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. Desalination trains and offshore topsides draw most of the volume, with chemical plant, pump and valve production close behind.
Procurement checks start with the supply envelope. The chart below fixes the governing standard, both stocked grades, key chemistry and strength minima, the dimensional span, finishes, product forms and the certification issued on despatch.
ASTM A240 and its ASME adoption SA-240, cover super duplex flat products, while companion documents set tolerances and certification. Indian, Japanese and Chinese systems add their own flat-rolled standards for export orders.
| Standard | Scope |
|---|---|
| ASTM A240 / ASME SA-240 | Chromium and chromium-nickel stainless steel plate, sheet and strip; the governing specification |
| ASTM A480 / ASME SA-480 | General requirements for flat-rolled stainless: tolerances, finishes and marking |
| IS 6911 | Indian standard covering stainless steel plate, sheet and strip |
| JIS G4304 / G4305 | Japanese standards for hot rolled and cold rolled stainless plate, sheet and strip |
| GB/T 4237 / GB/T 3280 | Chinese standards for hot rolled and cold rolled stainless sheet and plate |
| EN 10204 | Inspection document code behind the 3.1 and 3.2 certificates |
Two super duplex grades cover the whole sheet and plate programme. Standard duplex S31803 and S32205, both sold as 2205, are not part of this range. Those 22Cr grades sit on our duplex steel sheets and plates page instead.
Super Duplex S32750 sheets and plates carry the 2507 chemistry, appear on European drawings as EN 1.4410 and take most dispatches for seawater and hot chloride circuits.
Super Duplex S32760 plate adds deliberate copper and tungsten to the 25Cr base; drawings citing EN 1.4501 or the F55 forged counterpart specify it.
Thickness sets the dividing line in super duplex flat products. Sheet covers material under 5.00 mm thick; plate begins at 5.00 mm and runs up from there. Shearing or profile cutting brings either form to drawing.
| Dimension | Range |
|---|---|
| Sheet Thickness (Cold Rolled) | 0.3 mm to under 5.00 mm (cold rolled) |
| Plate Thickness (Hot Rolled) | 5.00 mm to 120 mm (hot rolled) |
| Width | 1000 mm to 3500 mm |
| Length | 2010 mm to 5800 mm; cut to length |
| Imperial Sizes | 4 ft x 8 ft, 4 ft x 10 ft |
Three sheet and plate variants make up the SDSS range. Each one ships in the finishes listed under Specifications.

Request a QuoteSea-worthy packing decides how super duplex steel plate arrives. Heavy plates travel flat on timber pallets under steel strapping, cold rolled sheets get interleaving with edge guards, and mirror finishes carry protective film. Grade, heat number and size mark every piece. Consignments move across India from Mumbai stock; export cargo heads to the USA, the Gulf, Europe and Asia. Urgent stock items clear in 1 to 2 days, while made-to-order material needs around 30 days.
Chemical and mechanical results for each heat appear on the mill test certificate, drawn from the original mill and from our own in-house testing. EN 10204 3.2 documentation follows on request, and third-party inspection is supported when the purchase order names it. Amigo Impex holds AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.
60–70 tonnes held in Mumbai, with urgent requirements dispatched within one to two days.
AS 9120B, PED, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, with an MTC on every order.
Cutting, machining, threading, fabrication and testing all handled at our own Mumbai facility.
Original mill certificates plus our own test reports, so every batch can be traced back.
Non-standard sizes and specifications made to order.
Dispatched from Mumbai to every major Indian city, and exported to USA, Gulf, Europe, Asia
We supply Super Duplex S32750 (2507) and Super Duplex S32760 sheets and plates to ASTM A240 / ASME SA-240; standard duplex S31803 is held as a separate range.
Thickness draws the line between them. ASTM A480 treats material under 5.00 mm thick and 600 mm or wider as sheet, and material 5.00 mm and over in thickness and wider than 250 mm as plate. In our range, sheet runs from 0.3 mm to under 5.00 mm and plate from 5.00 mm to 120 mm.
Super duplex stainless steel plate responds to a magnet because ferrite makes up about half the microstructure. Grade identity still rests on the mill certificate, not on a magnet test.
ASTM A240 / ASME SA-240 governs super duplex steel sheets and plates, with ASTM A480 setting the shared tolerance and finish requirements for flat-rolled stainless.
Yield strength decides it: 2507 holds a 550 MPa minimum where 316L plate holds 170 MPa, so the section thins for equal duty while PREN above 40 adds pitting margin 316L can't reach.
Super duplex steel plates can be welded, provided heat input stays controlled and the filler matches the parent grade. Fabricators hold the interpass temperature down to keep the ferrite-austenite split intact.
A mill test certificate accompanies every super duplex sheet and plate order, drawn from the original mill and from our own testing, and third-party inspection can be arranged.
Chloride, seawater and acid duty place super duplex stainless steel sheets and plates in eight industries.
